Trapper Arts Retreat in NW Wisconsin has (4) waterfront sites and (1) wooded rustic site. Located on a 1/4 mile long dead-end road (except Bob Lake West) on a 90 acre clear water no-wake lake. Only 5 minutes from the Chippewa County Forest for hiking/biking/ATV adventures! SEASONAL NOTE: Water has been shut off for the season and the boats have been put in storage until spring but you are welcome to continue to book our sites. The Chippewa County Forest (16,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead is located about 5 miles away. You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. Trails wind past small lakes and beaver ponds, as well as spectacular vistas and abundant wild life. LIST OF SITES: BIRCH Waterfront is our medium size campsite with a level gravel pad and waterfront access via a long dock for fishing and boating. EAGLE POINT is a favorite because it is the most private, surrounded by trees and is on a elevated waterfront lot with steps down to a dock, has a canoe and a row boat and the best spectacular sunset views. The eagle's nest is in a tall pine tree above the steps! LARGE Waterfront Site is perfect for groups and multiple campers (no more than 3 please). This site has multiple power and water connections and easy level lake access. There is a dock, row boat and kayak available also. BOB LAKE WEST is our only site that is not on this dead end road. It is located on the west side of the lake near the boat landing. Partially wooded elevated site with power, water, dock, row boat, outhouse, fire-ring, and firewood. BOB LAKE RUSTIC Wooded non-waterfront campsite has no power or water but can access Bob Lake and use the row boat at our common lake access. Great for the adventurers who like to rough it. This property was previously owned by Trapper Art who was well known in the area and started several successful businesses dating back to 1967 including Art's Snowmobile, Trapper Arts, and Art's Electric which was quite an accomplishment in the Wisconsin Northwoods!

Bob Lake West
Peaceful weekend away!
We had a wonderful time at our location. Beautiful view of the lake. It was a bit windy while we were there. So we didn’t get to use the boat, but we had a very peaceful time away. There wasn’t anyone in the house on one side, and the other side the people were only there for a bit. So that made it very quiet as well. Not a lot of movement around us. We would definitely stay here again.

Bob Lake - Large Site Waterfront
Lovely stay!
The hosts were super responsive and accommodating - we also had a lot of activities to do, like canoeing, kayaking, pontooning, hiking, and throwing a Frisbee around. The space was large enough for 8 guests and 5 tents and two canopies.
