Bring your bicycles or rent one of our fat bikes. We're surrounded by wonderful rustic and gravel roads to ride. We have private hiking trails available, right from your campsite and mountain bike/hiking trails only a 1/2 mile gravel ride from us in a 400 acre non-motorized county forest. Silver Creek Trails are part of the CORBA (Chippewa Off Road Bike Association) trail system. They're uniquely primitive, advanced/intermediate single track. They’re forged by hand, without machinery. Don’t expect a city bike path here. Adventure abounds! The Creeky Wheel is our onsite boutique bicycle shop with fat bike rentals available and a full repair shop. The bike shop is open Tues-Sat 12-6 (unless we're at a race). We have a prolific vegetable garden to enjoy, along with many native Wisconsin plants, which we use in our handcrafted botanical skin care. Pitch your tent, hang your camp hammock or pull up your small camper in this serene valley. The spring fed creek is just a few steps away. Relax on our shared front porch and watch the free range chickens scratching the yard for goodies. We also have a small turkey flock, providing hours of entertainment and three friendly farm dogs. We're within 10-15 miles of a few small towns with restaurants and grocery stores and there's plenty of lakes and rivers to explore in your kayak or paddleboard. We'll also provide you with information on area attractions , share some of our farm fresh eggs and gift you with a sample of our handcrafted, all natural skin care. Diversity is celebrated here and we welcome all campers. As hosts, we're here to make your camping experience enjoyable. Come on out to Silver Creek Springs and discover rural Wisconsin!

The vibe at Bicycle Farm - rural retreat
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Barely over an hour from the Twin Cities, Silver Creek Springs' Bicycle Retreat is a must visit spot and we will be back ASAP. We loaded up and headed to Silver Creek, the first stop on an epic road trip and were happy for the short drive to start us out. The directions were perfect and we arrived without any trouble. We were greeted at the on-site bicycle shop and treated a tour of the property. As soon the car stopped the kids jumped out and started exploring. There is certainly no shortage of nooks to explore.
There are three campsites and we nabbed a spot right next to the property owner's home, in reach of the wifi, which was a wonderful perk for us work-on-the-road types. Along with a quick tour, we were also provided some information of the surrounding area. We were also gifted a homemade healing salve, made from ingredients grown right at Silver Creek, as well as a dozen fresh eggs from the chickens peering at us from their coop.
The afternoon was filled with exploring the nearby mowed trails in the prairie, splashing in the creek, hanging out with the resident cats and dogs, feeding the chickens, goofing off with the turkeys, and a short paddle on the edge of a nearby town. After rushing back to camp to catch the sunset from atop Casey's Hill, we enjoyed a camp fire with the provided wood and tucked ourselves in. We slept wonderfully.
The following day the kids helped out with chores in the garden and did some more exploring while I took advantage of the wifi and marveled at the most clean and comfortable compost toilet I have ever laid my eyes on.
We highly recommend a visit to the Bicycle Farm at Silver Creek Springs. The host communication, the location, the amenities, and the pleasant company will not disappoint!
This place is a true paradise! Stunning property with beautiful views, rolling hills, well groomed paths and a sparking creek. The camp spot had great trees for our hammock, plenty of shade, a nice picnic table and a fire pit. We really enjoyed biking in the forest nearby. We rented the bikes from The Creeky Wheel shop on the property. Tony made sure we were well fitted with our bikes and showed us where the best trails were. We also loved picking wild raspberries and blackberries on the farm. We had such an amazing stay at this place that we are already planning our next visit!
We spent the weekend here and absolutely loved it! Beautiful place to camp with endless options for adventure. The property has outstanding views, especially walking to the top of Casey’s hill. We enjoyed mountain biking nearby in the Barron County Forest, hanging out with all their friendly animals, and admiring the gorgeous garden and wildflowers! It was a great weekend escape.
