The Willow Creek tent site is one of only two camping sites available on this historic 13-acre organic farm. Nestled in a secluded valley in Wisconsin's Driftless Region, our farm, "Griff Run" has been rated a 5-star accommodation for travelers for several years. In 2020, we expanded our offerings by adding the Willow Creek tent site. Please note that our sites are listed
Please note that our sites are listed as "not suitable for children" under 12 due to country road hazards, electric fence, gated pastures, etc.
Parking for high clearance vehicles is available at the site - others may park in our barn drive and will have a short walk to the site. Along the creek and sheltered by a willow tree, this site has been cut into native Wisconsin prairie and offers a fire pit, large grill grate, trash can and picnic table. Firewood is available for purchase via Hipcamp (super reasonable!) and we ask that no firewood be brought onto the property. Our Willow Creek tent site is frequently visited by our laying hens and turkeys as their mobile coop is not far away.
Pass and greet our alpacas on your way to your well-maintained porta potty and wash sink for guests of Willow Creek tent site. This potty is serviced after each reservation. Potable water is also available at a spigot near the barn.

Truly unique camping experience
This was one of our favorite camping spots ever! Shawna and her family went out of their way to be welcoming and to make sure we were taken care of. They provided outstanding firewood free of charge, which allowed us to make wonderful campfires. They even gave us a bag of fresh tomatoes from their garden and an egg from their chickens. My family really enjoyed getting to feed the alpacas (a container of feed was provided to us.) When a bad storm was moving in, Shawna offered us shelter should we need it. We were so grateful to have such a caring host. We also enjoyed the privacy of the site as it was set a ways away from everyone but the turkeys and chickens. The fact that it was a walk-in site was not a deterrent to us since it just meant that we got to walk through the alpaca pen multiple times a day. This site definitely is meant for families with older children since there is a road just beside the property as well as electric fences in some places and large dogs on the property. For our family, it was a unique camping experience that we will treasure.
The perfect start to our trip
Our stay at Willow Creek was wonderful. We chose to stay there as it was along our route, but would return just to stay in this spot. Shawna was so accommodating and kind and the whole farm is welcoming and pleasant.
Absolutely amazing! I can not say enough great things about the hosts and the site. It was beautiful and peaceful. Clean and we'll kept. Friendly and welcoming. The animals were great and fun to be around. They provided feed for their alpacas and let us try their eggs from their chickens and gave us enough fire wood to last the weekend with out going cold. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a small get away and we definitely hope to go back. Thank you so much for providing a mini escape from the craziness in the world right now!
