Description

Ready to explore some of Wisconsin’s most wild lands? The Northern Highland American Legion State Forest encompasses 232,000 acres in the northern part of the state. Musky Lake Campground is located on a little peninsula that juts out into the lake. This is primo moose habitat, so be on the lookout. You might also see beaver, loons, fox, or eagles. Explore the miles (actually hundreds of miles) of bike trails—perfect if you want to escape for hours or even days on end. Other than biking, hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing are the tricks of the trade in these parts.
