Description

Offering all the beauty and good times of its northern counterpart, Franklin Lake South Campground certainly hits the sweet spot. After taking that scenic journey along the Heritage Drive Scenic Byway, you’ll be ready to sip in all the epic views found right outside your tent flap. The glassy and pristine waters of Franklin Lake, surrounded by tall, hearty pines, is enough to put any journeyer's heart at ease. If you feel a little restless staring at all this outdoor perfection, you can hit the trails and walk it out at the nearby Anvil or Butternut Lakes (warning: more perfection).

We camp here every year multiple times. Each site is private and has the beautiful Northwoods all around you. This is by far our favorite place to camp!
