There are over 80 acres of woods, fields and an island to explore. The property has over 2,000 feet of frontage on the Chippewa River. There is also a year around creek that flows through the property to the river. Currently there are three separate sites that are suitable for camping on the bank of the Chippewa. Each site is primitive and has lots of privacy. There are five trails that go through the woods as well as follow the bank of the river. There is a stairway that descends to the river. The river at this point is rather pristine. There are no houses on the camping side of the river and just a few on the opposite side. The river along the property is great for wading, swimming, canoeing/kayaking and fishing. Less than 3 miles from the property there are snowmobile and four wheeling trails that connect to trails that extend over 300 miles. The property is less than 10 miles from the headquarters of the Ice Age Trail that stretches from near Superior to near Madison, Wisconsin.

Gorgeous views of the river from the campsite! Very glad we chose this area to stay, and will certain be back to camp again. Dennis was VERY nice and accommodating, and does a fantastic job on site upkeep! Absolutely would recommend.
Quiet and peaceful
I had a great stay at Maggie’s. Dennis was an excellent host and as a single woman I felt safe in such a remote and private place. The site was next to the river and I had a quiet stay, I didn’t even know there was another couple just down from me on the next site. This is a gem of a property and I will plan a return trip.
Myself and four friends spent a luxuriously rainy weekend at this campsite. to put it frankly, this couple could be charging $50/n for how beautiful and PRIVATE it is!(we had site 3). Kathleen and Dennis were welcoming, warm people who clearly have a passion for their land and truly want to share it with others. I can’t wait to come back on a sunny weekend to truly enjoy everything their land has to offer.
Can’t wait to go back!
Dennis and his lovely wife took such great care of us! They have such a great property! We stayed at a great spot on the edge of a forest and field. We can’t wait to go back. We highly recommend their campground for families and any other kind of group. Dennis was amazing from the full tour of the property when we arrived to giving our car a jump start. They truly made us feel like family! They were open to us having a fire at our site and had a huge pile of firewood waiting for us to use. There were not picnic tables at our site as the website listed but that was not a problem for us and it was a new site (I think we may have been the first to use it). Book with confidence as their place rocks!!!!
