These awesome campsites are nestled in a valley of the driftless region of Western Wisconsin. About 30 miles East of La Crosse, WI and the Mississippi River, this property is perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsites are located adjacent to the properties frisbee golf course, discs are provided to campers at the main office at the property. Every campsite has its own picnic table, fire pit, and an ample supply of dry firewood. Some campsites are more secluded, but there are also a few that are nestled near each other, so there is room to bring some friends along for the experience!
The rates posted here when I booked were out of date and were already borderline tolerable in my opinion. When we arrived, Donna was helpful, but made it clear that in the future the new rate was $30/person and $15 for breakfast. $30/person for a campsite would have meant we were spending $120 for the 4 of us on motorcycles to CAMP. Now, it was a beautiful valley and it's nice there was firewood (though not terribly seasoned), and the showers were nice, but $120 is a touch steep. Even the $60 we paid (old rate on this site) was borderline. I go camping on the motorcycle a couple times a summer and I usually pay $15-25/site with 2-3 of us sharing a site, not per person.
In summary, site, amenities, etc are great, you couldn't ask for a nicer location in the Driftless Region. Would definitely return at more competitive pricing, but in my opinion it's way too expensive to go back for now.
We were so happy to find Don and Donna's farm along our travels. The beautiful landscape and access to a hot shower was just what we needed after ten hours on the road. We also got lucky enough to enjoy a tour of the original barn that has been beautifully renovated and learn more about this oasis in the hills.
