My friend and I wanted to find a quick site to camp over Labor day weekend and Steven's farm was very ideal for convenience and location. Luckily we were able to book within the same day of camping and everything was pretty smooth. We got a little confused about directions we did not expect to have to drive down further than the instructions say to. Steven has as decent amount of land and had several options to camp, we pitched our tent nearby the creek. Unfortunately there was no fire pit but that was okay because you are allowed to have an open fire anywhere. We ventured around the land, went towards the cornfields and followed the creek a bit. It's a beautiful area, there's a little field filled with wildflowers which was very pretty as the sun would go down. Steven was also very kind to offer us some blueberries from the farm. ALSO, on your way in and out of the main turn going to o'nelsons, there will be some kittens to greet you! Be cautious of them, they're a sweet surprise!
Steven was a very accommodating and helpful host, especially for a winter booking request! He plowed all the way to my campsite before my arrival, greeted me upon arriving, and even left a pair of snowshoes for me to explore the property.
Although the farm is beautiful and certainly a very private area to pitch a tent it was a little misleading to say there would be toilets and blueberries available July 15th to Aug 21st. We stayed on July 31st and as the blueberries had frozen over winter there was no crop and therefore no toilet. This is fair enough and I have sympathy for the loss of the crops but the listing should be changed online to reflect the circumstances. There was also no sign of water other than at the house which is far from the camping area.
