Chaz and his family were incredible hosts! They made it super easy to feel like you were in the backwoods by making the site off the road. It was quiet and my friends and I had an awesome night!
The organic farm store was a major plus! I bought some granola and hamburger and it was all delicious!
I will deffinatly be back! Next time for longer:)
Thanks so much Chaz and family!
We had an AWESOME time at Oak Savanah fields! Chaz and the family were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The land was beautiful, we spent a whole day exploring the farm. Great first time hipcamp experience, would definitely recommend!
Great farmer, great camping
Like many other campers, I had an amazing stay at Grassway Organics. Some mentioned the walk from the Farm Store bathroom to camp being long, it's certainly not a big problem and is at most a 10 minute walk. There were also some complaints of the road noise you can hear from the highway, for reference I live in Chicago so I'm used to horn honking and yelling right outside my windows, and while you can hear some of the diesel engines, it's barely noticeable. The farm is beautiful, tons of cows and chickens, at least three dogs and two peacocks. I hear there are pigs too but we didn't see those. The Farm got several inches of rain in the weeks leading up to our trip and just under an inch of rain during our trip and the trail out to the camp site was very muddy (if this is happening to you I suggest 4WD or park at the Farm House and don't drive it at all!) Chaz was as kind and great as all the other reviewers have said and let us use the farm truck after our car got stuck in the mud (even with the AWD). He used his tractor to tow me out and we were on our way. We missed pizza night, unfortunately, but this is an impressive place and I'll definitely be back. Thanks for everything, Chaz!
This was the first weekend Chaz had the property available for campers. It’s a beautiful farm with no dedicated campsites, just places to set up in the grass among oak trees. We made a nice small bonfire!
This farm is GORGEOUS and Chaz seems like the chillest dude on the face of the earth. Plus, the dog on the property is the sweetest. Highly recommend this site for the beautiful oaks and quiet camping. It's a farm, but not one of those wide flat ones. Really interesting place!
A true gem in the countryside of Wisconsin! We were in town for a night for a concert at near-by Alpine Valley...the hosts were gracious, the sites were private/plentiful, and the experience was exactly what we wanted! Thank you so much Chaz!!!
Our hosts were amazing! Super friendly and helpful. Lots of rain before we got there so campsites were not available where they normally are but worked out fine. Lovely organic farm store and we had use of a flush toilet in the store which was great. The host even offered a shuttle to the near by concert venue!! Would recommend highly and definitely plan on return visit!!!!
Camp site was private and secluded. The organic store up by the farm was AMAZING ! We bought eggs, beef, sausage links, and honey. All the food exceeded our expectations. Pizza on the Farm night is a Saturday evening they host, making brick oven pizzas, and it was a bonus to an awesome camping weekend.
Our stay at Grassway Organics Farm exceeded expectations. Chaz and Megan met us at the farmhouse and Chaz escorted us to the campground. He told us to choose a site and then he cleared it out for us. He also brought us firewood and stones for our campfire. Chaz was wonderfully helpful and attentive.
The next evening, we walked up to the barn where Chaz was making pizzas. We thought it was just for the campers but it turns out this is a long standing tradition within the community and it was very well attended. The view on the top of the hill was expansive and breathtaking but what really made this trip were the people we met. There is a strong sense of community here and we made some great connections with people.
Our site, albeit primitive, was great. The campground is beautiful and rolling and the campsites are spacious. We will definitely stay here again.
