ALL SITES ARE RUSTIC, meaning no motorized access and all gear has to be carried in with many hundreds of feet and terrain between you and anyone else (so lots of privacy). There are no picnic tables yet (planned for 2021) but there is a pit toilet (bring tp) and a fire ring (bring kindling and a lighter). Trails may or may not be mowed....assume you are going to a wild area and not a fancy maintained campground (non-rustic?).

Site 4 is the furthest of all the sites, just a 15 minute walk over hills until you get to the back of the 60 acres where a beautiful and secluded grassy tent area awaits. You will have gorgeous views, the perfect spot for a fire and a totally enclosed outhouse. The sunrise will be beautiful.

No houses, other campsites or roads are visible from this site. Just beautiful oaks, wild plums, apples, hazelnuts and lots of wildlife.

The terrain is typical for the driftless regions of Wisconsin with hilly terrain that is easily walkable by able-bodied children adults. The woods are oak-dominated and half of our 60 acres is woods and half is open pasture.....excellent for bird watching! If you are a birder ask to see our official inventory. We have also had official mushroom forays on our property so if you are a forager - ask for those results! Foraging for personal use while on our farm is allowed, but nothing substantial can be harvested without our permission.

Our farm is free from any chemicals and our beef, lambs and pigs pasture the entire property at some point of the year (so watch for droppings!) - occasionally animals get loose and so you may see them walking and grazing through your campsite! You are free to explore our 60 acres but we ask that you are mindful of gates (so the animals aren't loose) and property lines.

Each site is marked with a number and has a campfire ring and outdoor privy. Potable water is available at the farmstead. Campfire wood is available on the farm for a small fee. Fires are not allowed during periods of High wildfire risk. We also have a farm store with all of our products available for purchase (meats, soap, sweatshirts, etc).

We host Burger Nights at the main farm area weekly from May - October, including live music, a restaurant and a bar featuring local beer and wine.

Note that the live music on Friday and Saturday nights from May - early Oct can be heard at this site and is usually done by 10pm at the latest in the summer, much earlier in the spring and fall.

Let me start by saying that I love everything Together Farms is working on, and I am glad we stayed.
But...there's a lot of room for improvement on the camping side.
We were able to chat with Stephanie on our way out in the morning, and she totally owned it, which we appreciate. Apparently a lot of upkeep was supposed to happen the week before we arrived, but other things came up and it just didn't happen. She said she planned to work on the campsites that day, so your experience may already be different than mine was.

That being said, based on the state of the sites when we arrived, here's our experience:
-The place could be greatly improved by increased signage, maps, and mowed trails through the pasture. We had directions to get to our site (asked the guy working the bar at Burger Night and he showed us an aerial-view map of the farm), and thought we followed them, but we quickly lost the "trail" through the pasture. We ended up at A campsite (we know because there was a firepit in a secluded clearing), but we're pretty sure it was not #4. If there was a sign numbering the site, we didn't see it.
-The website says there's a latrine or outhouse at each campsite, but I looked near and far around our campsite and didn't find one. I don't mind relieving myself in the woods, but I would have liked a heads up (so I knew to bring a little shovel in case I needed to dig a hole).
-We didn't see any picnic tables at any sites yet. Our fire pit looked like it had never been used (or at least not this year). Because the grass was so high throughout the campsite, and in the fire pit, we didn't use it either.

We still had a ton of fun. We set up our campsite, then spent the evening down at the farm proper for Burger Night. It was really nice to know we didn't have to drive anywhere, and were free to stay late, sipping tasty beverages around the communal fire. On our walk back to our campsite, fireflies flickered all around as we walked through the pasture. Magical. In the morning, birdsong and sunshine woke us up.

The fire pit.Our campsite. (Probably not actually #4) A secluded, grassy clearing is really all you need, and that's what this is!

I haven't been camping in awhile and this place was great for getting back into it. The area was quiet and peaceful. Amazing veiws and very kind hosts. We got the fire bundle with our stay and for $5 we got a lot of wood that lasted for 3 fires. Overall it was a great place to camp and will love to come back again!

We had a wonderful time camping at Together Farms! It is a hilly walk to the campsite, so I would recommend bringing lighter or less bulky gear so you don't have to make many trips to set up camp. This campsite is well worth the walk. The stargazing is fantastic! We had a clear night and could see so many stars.
We also really enjoyed the farm tour and burger night. It was a great time!

We stayed in site 4, "Furthest and Fanciest". The site is on a hill surround by trees and vegetation. It's very remote and private with phenomenal stargazing. Stephanie and Andy were friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome. We purchased some of their eggs for breakfast and also some of their frozen meat on the way out. Burger Night was going on while we were there and the farm-to table food was excellent. They also had live music and various games and activities going on. Very fun atmosphere if you are looking for more than just a campsite. Site 4 is also far enough away from the action that you can also just enjoy the peace and quiet too. Our site had a brand new enclosed outhouse and a fire ring. The walk to site 4 is a beautiful, hilly hike through the pasture and takes about 15 minutes. You are camping on a farm, so keep in mind there will be cow pies. If that's a deal breaker for you, camping on a farm is probably not for you. The farm is organic and the property is well maintained. Animals you will see on the farm include cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, and a few pooches. We were also greeted by a salamander and a friendly farm cat. If you are looking for a unique camping experience, Together Farms is the perfect getaway!

Campsite #4 was beautiful and well kept. There was an outhouse, a fire ring, and a great mowed down area surrounded by trees perfect for multiple tents. We came on a burger night — and we’re sure glad we did! The burgers from the farm were phenomenal and there was beer and wine available. Plus there was live music and plenty of room for social distancing. The hike to the campsite was a 15-20 walk with two steep hills. Worth it for the sunset views!

We loved this experience!! A nice get away out in nature. The site was easy to find, only a 10 minute walk from the farm and beautiful scenery along the way. We had dinner at burger night, sat around the group campfire, listened to live music, and had some beers. We woke up early to watch the sunrise over the hills! A perfect getaway.
