Amazing place, great spot for a weekend by the lake. Just get your tent/food, everything else is pretty much provided. Site is beautiful n also has 2 kayaks...!!! overall my friends and I had an amazing experience.
Relaxing camping-lite getaway
Great lakefront property on a sleepy lake. We spent our time kayaking, swimming and sitting by the campfire. We brought all of our camping gear, but only used 1/3 of it since the site is well stocked with just about everything your need. Highly recommended!
Probably the nicest campsite I have ever had. Beautiful lake front lot with plenty of sunny and shaded areas to relax. Plenty of extras that made the site special. The only negative would be the noise from the bar at night . I would go back again in a heartbeat!
Amazing location. The site had absolutely everything we could need and more! Bathroom was very clean. Quiet, and hardly ever saw anyone else except people on boats! Would highly recommend, will be looking for future dates to stay here!
Beautiful campsite !! We enjoyed it so much- it’s a really perfect setting with the lake, lots of lovely old trees for shade but also open spaces to bask in the sunshine. A fantastic hammock, a big swing, comfy chairs, a picnic table and fire pit overlooking the lake. Plenty of flat cozy spaces for a tent and a table to set up a kitchen area. The porta-potty was very clean. Kayaks were a fantastic addition. The lake is very clear for swimming or watching the fish. Gorgeous sunsets! Overall spectacular! The owner is very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions. We look forward to returning!
This is a beautiful spot and should not be associated with the current problems in Kenosha. This spot is beautiful and close to many wonderful sites: Lake Geneva Meat Market, and the Mushroom Market on the main route. I highly recommend this spot.
We booked this site prior to there being any reviews so it was a risk... and worth it! It is a very large and well kept site. The lake access is really nice and the dock is lovely. We were very pleased with how many trees are available for shade as well as open spots for sun bathing.
Some specific things to mention that we liked and some that would have helped us prepare better had we known ahead of time-
Dogs: We had two large dogs that we kept on long tethers and all the off leash neighbor dogs stayed away.
The folding table you see in the pictures is part of the site which was really nice. The propane tank to the grill was seized but we like to cook over fire anyway. The picnic table is oversized (probably fits 6-8) and the hammock is so nice!
Potable water: there is a jug of water in the shed, we didn’t use it but it was nice to know that it’s there.
Portajohn: it had toilet paper and was in good condition.
Privacy: we could definitely see and hear multiple neighbors on both sides. It’s a small residential lake and this is a site that a house could have been built on but remained undeveloped. There is also a house at the top of the lot near the road. Folks with pontoon boats seemed to do laps around the lake kind of close to the edge which was annoying.
Noise: there is a bar on this lake which went hard until midnight on Saturday night - super unsettling during a pandemic. We could hear their music and people screaming very clearly. There were fireworks Saturday night which sucked for us because of our dogs. Also, there is a road that is clearly heard all night and a train track. Definitely bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
We had a very nice time here and will definitely be back!
