Private, private, private
Craig was a great host. He met us in Forestville and led us into camp with no issues. This is an extremely private area and was perfect to let my pups run without worry. There isn’t much shade so bring deck umbrellas to get some shade. The camp is super close to anything further up Door Co and a day trip to Whitefish Dunes State Park is around 20 min away.
I will definitely be back!!
Our favorite camping location!
We've camped here for the last couple of years, and it's our favorite place. We prefer the boondocking; as being in nature is our first priority (we're not really into video game rooms, shuffleboard, nor olympic pools...). We take our bikes, as across the river is the Ahnapee bike & hiking trail. We also kayak and fish on the river....it's very peaceful.
Private with beautiful view
Wonderful camping site with great privacy and a beautiful view of the river. The site had everything you could need - mowed paths, a fire pit with wood for the first night, a picnic table and an outhouse. The site is slightly sloping down toward the water. The owner met us promptly and guided us to the site for a quick check in. The river was high so the shore wasn’t as well defined as it would normally be for fishing or to use the boats provided but our dogs did some splashing around. The gravel lane was also good for dog walks. Storms can develop out of nowhere across the bay even if you’re checking the forecast and future radar so best to set up a screen tent with rain protection just in case. Luckily we were prepared for our rainy day. The owner checked in via text due to the storms and offered us a late check out to have more time at the property. Great host!
What a gem! Loved staying on Craig's land. There's beautiful views of the river, quick walking trails for the puppers, and plenty of space cleared for tents and activities. Craig even provided wood for one of the nights.
Great host, great site. I almost don't want to recommend it in case it gets too popular...
Second time staying at Craig’s land. He added a picnic table this time around which helped with set up. He remembered from my last visit that my nephew would bring his BB gun; so Craig came equips with some targets for him to practice. How thoughtful!
