OUR TINY HOUSES

Near Fayetteville, our tiny houses are just a few minutes from the New River and 15 minutes from the Gauley River and Summersville Lake. This is in the heart of whitewater rafting country. Our tiny houses are near national parks and areas offering an array of activities.

♦ Ask us about the discounts we offer on activities such as Adventures on the Gorge, Ace, and all other rafting and zip lines companies.

♦ Ask us for directions to those that interest you. We also are just three minutes from the area’s best rock-climbing sites in New River Gorge National Park.

♦ We have other tiny houses and cabins on Airbnb, so if this one is booked, message us for details.

♦ Ask about multi-night stays and, for larger groups, multi-cabin discounts.

♦ We are pet-friendly. There is a one-time fee of $25 per pet.

♦♦ We want to make sure each guest has an awesome experience, so please be sure to review our listing thoroughly to make sure this is the experience you are seeking.

Have you caught the latest episodes of HGTV about tiny houses and wondered how that works? Come try out tiny house living while visiting the New River Gorge.

Built just a few years ago, our 18x8 tiny houses sleep up to four. The loft has a queen mattress. On the first floor, the couch folds out on the floor into a full-size double mattress. Both mattresses are extremely comfortable Memory Foam. Bed linens provided.

♦ Full bathroom with full-size shower, regular flush toilet and sink. Bathroom towels, toilet paper, and soap provided.

♦ Kitchenette includes mini fridge/freezer, sink, hot plate, microwave, kitchen utensils, a Mr. Coffee coffee maker with filters and coffee, and Styrofoam cups. There also is one pot, one pan, and plastic tableware – plates, bowls, knives, forks, and spoons.

♦ Tiny houses are air-conditioned/heated.

♦ There is a television but no satellite, cable or local stations. Feel free to bring your own DVD player, games, etc. and cords. We do not supply cords for your devices.

♦ Outside, there is a picnic table. You can cook on the fire ring and later push aside the grate to sit around the fire. Firewood is available for $5 a bundle.

♦ There is plenty of parking to include trailers and toys. Are tiny houses are along the side inside the campground. Feel free to have a friend camp outside the tiny house.

♦ Please message us at any time with questions. We require a two-night stay, but often one-night and multiple-night stays are available.

♦ We want each guest to have an awesome experience, so please review our listing thoroughly to make sure this is the experience you want.

♦ Message us at any time with questions.

♦♦ There is a steep, narrow ladder into the open loft, which has a small railing only. Tiny house doorways are narrow – just 24 inches wide.

♦♦ Tiny house ceilings are low, with just 6’2” in the kitchen. Clearance in the loft is about 4 feet.

♦♦ Please note that our tiny houses are located in a campground/RV park off to one side of the park. There are campers and RVs located in the campground which in warm weather is a busy park. If you have any questions about this, please ask us before you book.

THE ACTIVITIES

There is plenty to do while staying in our tiny house!

♦ Rafting is available for ages 6 and older, with skill levels ranging from totally inexperienced to experienced.

♦ Stand-up paddle-boarding.

♦ Fishing.

♦ Mountain biking.

♦ Zip lining – Seasonal, but Adventures on the Gorge also offers winter zip lining. TreeTops Canopy Zip Line Canopy Tour is open year-round. Reservations are required.

♦ Rock climbing.

♦ Bird watching.

♦ Hiking – USA Today readers voted the Endless Wall Loop Trail the top national park day hike in America. It's very accessible and views are stunning. Long Point is another favorite trail. If you are not a hiker, several scenic views require little to no hiking.

Stop at Canyon Rim Visitor Center for the 411 on the best hikes and views. It’s just around the corner from Adventures on the Gorge. Get info on ghost towns and hiking trails nearby.

♦ New River Gorge Bridge Walk – This bridge’s catwalk once was the realm of safety inspectors and “bridge poachers” – daring locals who made this wild stroll a favorite midnight activity. Now the bridge hikes are offered daily by the folks at Bridge Walk, which has a super-strong cable from end to end. They’ll set you in a harness and clip you onto the cable for your tour.

♦ ATV/dirt bike riding – While this is not a local activity, on the way here or on the way home, the historic town of Matewan is 2½ hours from Fayetteville and is in the heart of the area known for the famous Hatfield and McCoy feud. There are no rentals, but if you have ATVs or dirt bikes, this area has amazing terrain for riding in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Ask us about combining your stay in the New River Gorge area with lodging in the Hatfield-McCoy area.

♦ Shop for antiques in downtown Fayetteville. Just five minutes over the New River Gorge Bridge are a slew of mom-and-pop antique shops, not to mention a bunch of great restaurants, all within walking distance of each other.

♦ Visit Chetty’s Pub and watch the day’s game on the big-screen TVs there. This is the place to unwind with a brew and some great food. Watch your rafting trip at the end of the day in Chetty’s as well.

♦ Visit the tasting room at Bridge Brew Works, not far from downtown Fayetteville. ♦ Just relaxing.
