.............A note from the Farm owners.

Hi everyone.  Thanks for choosing Farm called CROW.

We are glad you are here.

A few things to keep in mind.

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats on the farm, all sweet and very loved animals.  Brown Mixed Dog is Twiggy she’s about 4, she is a sucker for being pet.  Feel free to tell her to go, because she loves attention.  Axel, our problem child Blue Heeler (has our previous heelers tag on).  He is very sweet but still a puppy and will chew.  Word to the wise, just put it up so he can’t chew it.  Also down feed them.  Please don’t leave things lying around the barn.  Store your items in your space.  Another thing about both of the dogs, use a firm voice and tell them to go if they are in your space.  It won’t bother us a bit….takes a village.  Split face Calio cat is Cleopatra and our Black Majestic Cat is LunaMune, we like to call him BooneBoone.

Keep in mind.  The barn is communal space, our kids play in it often.  It is an 80 year old barn.  Don't leave trash and and item strewn around.  Neat and Tidy.

Please no smoking, unattended fires, or cooking in or around the barn.

Camp fires at least 12 feet away from the barn.

Whomever is staying at the farm is completely welcome to hang out in the barn.  We welcome sharing.

We do store some of our personal tools and things in the barn so we would appreciate if you could leave that alone.

We are working towards a permanent potty and kitchen facilities down the line, so we would love if you could check back and stay with us again to see the updates.  You can tent camp wherever you’d like.  You are more than welcome to hike up the hill and take advantage of our 35 acre woods behind the house.  There is also a private pond to explore behind shack in back of field.   We just ask you to keep everything as clean as possible.

Please put your trash in a trash bag.  Pack it out or put it in a bag and in our can on the sight side of the porch.  DO NOT put loose trash in the can.

Camp anywhere 12 feet from the barn.

Again, Do not leave camp fires unattended.  Do not have campfires close to the barn.  Campfires need to be at least 20 feet from the barn.  No tent camping or fires on barn deck.

Be courteous of your neighbors.  Introduce yourselves.  If you think you are going to be a little late staying up, make sure your neighbors are aware before hand….just be transparent with that kind of thing so no one has a bad experience.  We would like to keep everyone happy.

Quiet by Midnight.

Shower and garden hose is behind the house.  We have another water hose on the front side of the house closer to the fence.  We have 2 Port-a-Johns by the building facing the pond.  Keep them clean and let us know if we run out of things.

Again be clean.  Leave the Farm better than it was before.  Your memories are important to us.

Lastly, we are Candace and Warren, we live on this farm with our blended family.  So if you see two little ones running around, Royce 7 and Olive 5, (sometimes a 22yo daughter, Carlee) those are our babies.   We bought the Farm in 2018 and got married on it July, 20, 2019.  2020 is our first annual season.  Any constructive suggestions is welcome.

Enjoy your stay in the NRG.  Love,  Farm called C.andace. R.oyce. O.live. W.arren

Farm called crow felt like home in West Virginia. Hosts were exceedingly welcoming, going above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible (providing firewood, a fire pit, very nice outdoor shower, and even lending me a headlamp for the weekend!) They are in the renovation process and toilet use is a more rustic experience but very accommodating given the reno circumstance. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to stay to come here and I hope to be back soon!

Candace and Warren have a really great place. You camp next to the cutest barn I’ve ever seen. It has games like bumper pool, a serene loft and little lights running through it. It was the perfect getaway. My only suggestion to the hosts is to put up close up pics of the barn for your HipCamp page. Show it off!

Wonderful spot to camp just off a paved country road. Great outdoor shower with hot water. Fun barn full of games like darts. During the day lots of close-by amazing hikes. At night sat around a fire with other campers.

There are two friendly dogs that will come hang with you! The space to camp was nice and flat, but the property was smaller than I thought - so you are near the main house and a two lane road. The barn area is not large - if there were other campers, you’d be pretty close to them. Although you hear the road, it wasn’t busy at night. The bathrooms were super clean and there was a cool outdoor shower! Overall, I thought it was good for a night while passing through town, but would not make it a destination.
