Just what the doctor ordered
We came for a relaxing weekend and thats exactly what we got! Ralph was ready for us when we arrived. He gave us a tour and let us get settled in before showing us the swimming hole! The cabin was welcoming and had everything we needed. I love that we were able to bring our dogs. Made our weekend that they could join in on our trip. The backyard was amazing. Our dogs loved having water right there. The outdoor shower was great. I could go on and on about this place. Thank you Ralph for a wonderful weekend! We cant wait to come back for another visit.
Ralph was a wonderful host and helped us to enjoy our visit to Carp Cove Farm. The site is beautiful, clean, and private. We haven't found better camping so close to DC. We'll be returning soon.
Amazing, and brought my family toge
The board games brought us together. I haven't slept so well in a long time, with the queen size bed they have. I have major back issues, and the bed was amazing. The fire pit is huge, and its a secluded area. I had the windows open all night, to hear the sound of nature and water. We loved that we could interact with the horses ( bring carrots). They have a small frig., microwave, coffee pot, and 1/2 bathroom. The shower is inside during fall and winter season, and its small but cute. I bought a cabin in the past for $120, and I would pick this place any day. No wifi and tv, but you wont regret it. I PROMISE ( My 17 year old son came back to the cabin to play monopoly all night) TRULY AMAZING. Thank you Mr. Ralph, and plan to see you soon.
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the long weekend! I’m used to very primitive cabins, so staying here was like being in a luxury suite! The cabin had everything we needed and more(there is even an indoor shower) ! It’s on a beautiful property right next to the river and tucked behind some of the farm pastures. We enjoyed listening to cows and donkeys at night by the fire, which Ralph kindly made for us the first night we arrived! Thanks for a great stay!
It was exactly what we wanted!
This place is a gem! It was a perfect weekend getaway for my family of 3 plus one dog. The tire swing provided lots of fun, the fire pit was fully loaded and Ralph restocked our wood, the water was hot, and the cabin was great. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen area stocked with coffee and tea supplies plus a few cooking helps. There is a coffee maker, microwave, and small over/stove. The mini fridge/freezer is nice and cold! There is a wood burning stove, but there is always baseboard heat. There is a ceiling fan and a standing fan. The decor was entertaining. We enjoyed walking the property which we were given permission to explore. Ralph is super laid-back and has a great sense of humor. We look forward to returning!
Ralph’s little red cabin was perfect! So cute and cozy and my dogs loved having the river right out back. The grounds are beautiful and Ralph even brought two kayaks to use! Beautiful place and very kind host. I came with a friend but plan on getting my husband here soon! Definitely will be back.
Ralph and the site was great. Ralph met with us when we first arrived, and he let us know everywhere we could explore and who else was staying around the farm and where. One suggestion would be to add some rocks to the "shore" at the river, right behind the cabin, similar to how it is upstream. That way, entry to the river isn't so muddy. Still a great stay, and we plan to come back
