This place has tons of fun stuff to do, and it's so convenient that they let you use their boats and that they give free firewood! Site was nice and flat. Pretty private. Lots of fire pit options. And really easy to find.

Lots of people around the lake in the afternoon, so it's easy to make new friends if you're hoping to!

As another has mentioned, after the rains it was a little swampy in the tent area--tent platforms or something would really add to the location, but it's still fine without that.

The only legitimate complaint I had was that we were woken up at about 6:45am by someone operating some big machinery (a Bobcat or something similar) around the lake about 150 yards from the tent site, which was really unpleasant.

Overall, a 6/10 experience.

Camping under the shade of this tree meant a perfect place to eat breakfast. The lake, with canoes you can use! Such a fun place!!These signs show you where to turn to get to the campground!Pathway from the tent sites to the bathroom.

Campsite was overcrowded (despite host repeatedly contacting me to assure me they had blocked out 50% of campsites due to Covid), there is hardly any trees and no shade during the day so staying at camp during the daytime was uncomfortable. Bathrooms clogged and flooded and were not fixed, nor were hosts concerned about the problem. Cops and ambulance were called due to domestic abuse committed by other campers and drugs were found in the camp. One guy was arrested but rest of campers in his party were allowed to stay, despite meth being present.

Buffalo Gap is a great place with fun amenities in a good location. The site is clean, has free fire wood, great pond with free equipment to use and a fire burning sauna on the pond. Quiet hours are enforced (10pm to 8 am) and Vince (the owner) is great and dealt with a not so pleasant issue that we encountered straight away. Michelle the caretaker was also incredibly helpful and very friendly. Due to the heavy rains the tent site was a bit boggy and as the nearest portaloo was in the main site it wasn't very pleasant having to trapse through wet grass when you needed to go to loo...would be great if they had a portaloo in the campsite as well. I did feel a little bit vulnerable in the tent area as it is a bit away from the main office, everyone else and no security lights, thankfully we had our dog with us and that was a comfort. The site allows you to enjoy nature, have fun and relax as much as you want too. All in all Buffalo gap is a great place with enough to keep young and old happy.

It was a nice, secluded little place! It was a little difficult to find at first, but only because we were driving in the dark. Once there it was super nice and we were able to choose a nice fire pit. There’s a beautiful, clean lake with things like kayaking available. All in all a beautiful little hidden spot

No greeter to tell you where the campsites were located. Grass had not been cut. Felt more like cop a squat area. Campers were nice though but area seemed unkempt.
