The yurt has a queen size adjustable bed. *Please bring your own bedding*. A wood burning stove will keep you warm and set the ambiance. A propane heater is provided for the chilly fall and winter months. There are solar powered lights inside with USB ports to charge your devices off of solar. The only real cell service on the land is through Verizon but the other carriers work in town. There is no running water but we have rain barrel collections for washing dishes and cleaning up. We do have potable water to share and also recommend you bring your own. The toilet is a compost toilet located in your private outhouse. There is plenty of wood around to be gathered for fires. Friendly chickens, a dog (Pepper) and a cat (Bruce) free range around.

This was the perfect getaway with my sister! The yurt was so cute and so was the outside area where we had fires going at night. The first night it started to rain, and the sound on the yurt was amazing! The owners were very sweet. Their dog, Pepper, was one of the highlights of the trip! Would totally recommend!

Best Hipcamp I've ever booked!!! A friend and I came up from Portland for a night and our stay at the Shallot Chalet was everything we had hoped for and more. Austin's dad greeted us as we pulled onto the property and we quickly became attached to Pepper, the friendliest dog ever. We were given a tour of the Shallot, the kitchen, and introduced to the other pets. Plenty of firewood and kindling was provided, as well as cooking basics in the kitchen! The outhouse was swanky-er than we had expected too! To say the least, we LOVED our stay.
What a lovely stay! The yurt was very cozy with a wood-burning stove, comfortable bed, and relaxing chairs for kicking back and reading. Pepper the dog was a total sweetie pie, and the two friendly chickens toured through the campsite to say hello every day. Kitchen trailer was perfect for cooking up meals. Fridge is on solar and turns off over night, so be sure to bring a cooler and ice if you have perishables. Beautiful property and also a short drive into town if you need supplies.

Very elegantly appointed yurt. Bed is comfy, fireside romantic, a Stressless brand recliner and retro (like 1930s) music on the 1920s-era wind-up gramophone. The stay is all-off grid but the solar powered inverter produces more than enough to power the lights and device charging. Rustic toilet. Great communal kitchen. Fresh water provided in large carboys. Non-potable water for washing, dishes, etc from rain catchment.

Great site, clean, close to Oak Harbor, Deception Pass, and Anacortes, host was friendly, accommodating, and responsive to all our needs, bed was comfortable (we stayed in the Yurt), I highly recommend this camp.
It was such a wonderful and relaxing stay! The place is beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend it!

Austin’s dad met us when we arrived and was very kind and hospitable. He showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed.
The yurt was cozy and mostly clean. The bed was super comfortable and the wood-burning stove inside made it super cozy during the cold night. The site was very private and quiet except for the occasional echoes from a nearby gun range. But overall a very positive experience
What a lovely place. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave. Could have stayed for may more days. I loved the wood stove, comfy chairs, pristine out house and Pepper the dog. Will certainly return for another break from the city. Thanks Austin!
I would come and stay here again. Lovely hosts and really a neat environment.
