Kevin was a great host - very generous and welcoming! The Lot was the perfect spot to throw up our tent before an early morning of hiking on Mt. Rainier. The location was very convenient - right next to the park entrance - and easy to find. The one downside is that The Lot has big gravel rocks that cover the surface, which made sleeping in a tent on the rocks not the most comfortable - even with a nice sleeping pad and bag. It served our purposes though! Thank you, Kevin!
We had a great time at this private site! Beautiful scenery down by the river, which was a nice short walk! We saw lots of deer and it was quite. Clean and a fair amount of space. Mt. Rainer is literally right there! The host was super helpful and nice which is always a plus! We will be staying again for sure!
This was a great site, close to the entrance of Mt. Rainer. The site can hold multiple tents and has a firering that is 6 feet across. The structure is not a good site to setup a tent, but a perfect place to store wood and other things you do not want to get wet.
The benches and table we're super helpful to prep meals on. Made sitting around the fire much easier.
The bathroom is an outhouse. So if you are freaked out by that, make sure to use one in the lodge or near the trailheads in the park.
The pop-up was amazingly helpful!! We set it up over the entrance of the tents so we could have dry ground to get in and out of.
This is a great secluded spot! I would say the only con was a light coming from the closest building (200 feet away). I for sure will be coming back. Thanks for a great weekend!
Magical fairyland. This was such a beautiful site- quiet, private and so close to the National Park! I would like to come back and stay longer... it really is the perfect base camp. Directions were accurate and not that complicated. The site has everything we needed, but make sure to read the description carefully so you are prepared.
We had a great stay at The Lot! The mossy trees were a perfect backdrop to our time around the fire. It was great to have a little out house on site. Did not have any issues with getting there, and this site is right outside of Mt Rainer National Park!
Kevin provided everything we could possibly need during our quick trip to MRNP. It began to rain and he had an awning for us, so we were still able to enjoy the outdoors despite the weather. We had deer visit our site while we were sitting around the fire. I highly recommend!
Our stay at The Lot was amazing. The location was so convenient being right next to the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier National Park and just close enough to "town" to resupply firewood and other essentials. Although there were neighbors around, I could only see or hear them if I left the actual campsite. A group of deer visited us on multiple occasions. We would definitely stay there again.
