Situated on 6+ acres with riverfront access, and just over an hour east of Seattle, sits our little slice of heaven. Being on the east side of the Cascades, this campground is almost always sunnier than the city, warmer in the summer, and snowier in the winter. We've owned the property since 2003 and have hosted many guests there, with the highlight always being a big caravan float down the river to a takeout about 2 hours away. Nothing could be better on a hot summer day. The property is in a rural neighborhood called Elk Meadows, about 75 minutes from downtown Seattle, or an hour from the east side. It's an easy and beautiful drive on I-90 all the way, then a short 2 miles off the freeway to the property. We have six acres in total, with riverfront, a lagoon, and some woods to go with our cabin and yard.  But the riverfront is where the true magic is.  Many hours have been spent relaxing in, on, or near the river with friends, family, and dogs.  It's always changing, always alive, and that's why we love it. If you need supplies, groceries or a restaurant, the town of Cle Elum is just 10 minutes away, and the Suncadia resort with its restaurants and the Swiftwater Winery, is about the same.

This is an amazing spot and Bill is an excellent host. He was really communicative and everything was exactly as described. Our kids cannot wait to come back; the hammock tent was a hit. You're right on the river's edge and it's terrific to just sit back and watch the world (and the wildlife) go by. Easy access to some good hiking trails and Cle Elum is close by for supplies.

Amazing spot on the Yakima River! So easy to get to but incredibly serene and peaceful. The elevated tent experience was awesome and in such a nice, shaded location my son and I even slept in which we never do! Bill was a gracious host and even helped shuttle our jeep so we could float a section of the river after checking out. I would highly recommend this spot on the river and it was a superb value as well!

Really nice private site. It was nice to be able to have a grassy area to hang-out. The compostable toilet was a nice alternative to a pit toilet with a lot less smell. It was very windy there most of the time and there were lots of mosquitos. Be sure to bring your bug spray. We really enjoyed all the wild life that came through the area....beavers, geese, ducks with their ducklings, deer, sparrows, and hawks.

Great site very clean and easy river access. Owner takes very good care of the property. Nice and grassy too - that’s super fun for the kids. The composting toilet is great - easy and no smell. Wish the owner would have left more pellets for the toilet, we ran out with a day left and that was no fun. Also, the spigot was not in service the weekend we were here and granted we could have walked up to the cabin for water - that’s really a hassle for hand washing. That should have been fixed before renting a space out - I consider easy access to running water a deal breaker. This site was extremely windy and the fire pit (it’s a tiny mesh quad pod) is really quite useless. You can make a small fire but we weren’t able to cook our food on it and the wind created a mess of ashes as there was no pit wall to shield from elements. And finally - when the wind does die down - the mosquitos come out aggressively with the lagoon right there!
