Situated on 6+ acres with riverfront access, and just over an hour east of Seattle, sits our little slice of heaven. Being on the east side of the Cascades, this campground is almost always sunnier than the city, warmer in the summer, and snowier in the winter.
We've owned the property since 2003 and have hosted many guests there, with the highlight always being a big caravan float down the river to a takeout about 2 hours away. Nothing could be better on a hot summer day.
The property is in a rural neighborhood called Elk Meadows, about 75 minutes from downtown Seattle, or an hour from the east side. It's an easy and beautiful drive on I-90 all the way, then a short 2 miles off the freeway to the property. We have six acres in total, with riverfront, a lagoon, and some woods to go with our cabin and yard.
But the riverfront is where the true magic is. Many hours have been spent relaxing in, on, or near the river with friends, family, and dogs. It's always changing, always alive, and that's why we love it.
If you need supplies, groceries or a restaurant, the town of Cle Elum is just 10 minutes away, and the Suncadia resort with its restaurants and the Swiftwater Winery, is about the same.
