Very kind, relaxed, and helpful hosts! Beautiful views as well. We booked last minute and they went above and beyond to accommodate us.
This site is a little farther of a treck from the river and hot springs. I would probably stay down on the creek or river next time but if those sites weren’t available I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this site again. Chris had the fire going and sauna lit when we arrived and kept us stocked with wood. He even brought us extra chairs when he realized we were one chair short. You can easily walk down to the river and about 15 minutes to the hot springs. If you have a blow up paddle board I would certainly bring that and your floaties for hot weather. The property is immaculate and the river, creek and hot springs were amazing. Chris the camp host swings by to make sure you don’t need anything but otherwise leaves you to your peace and quiet. We are going back for sure!
Fantastic spot with a view and a sauna and a short hike to a natural hot spring. Everything was clean, quiet and peaceful. Host was amazing - there for everything I needed but invisible otherwise. Would seek this spot out again next time I’m in the area.
This place is amazing! For sure book this stay!
I read another review suggesting the King Fisher Flats site was not as good as the others here - I wholly disagree! This site is lovely, secluded, well-kept and comfortable! It's the second-closest site to the hot springs (site #1 is closest), but it's also the shadiest/ coolest site. The camp host is very welcoming and brought us a HUGE pile of firewood upon our arrival, and we loved hearing the sound of the river all night. We also walked down to the river and swam/ walked upstream after setting up camp, which was so lovely and welcome on a hot afternoon. And of course, the hot springs themselves were perfect. We went at around 10am on a Monday and we were the only folks there!
The only thing to keep in mind if you're planning to book King Fisher is that it is a "walk-in" site - i.e., it's about a 5 minute walk from where you park to the site itself, and it's a bit of an uphill. So just plan and pack accordingly!
I wanted to title this review “don’t camp here” to keep the spot a secret, but I couldn’t do it. We loved this place: the privacy, the.river, The host communication, the hospitality, the proximity to services. My only suggestion would be to replace the crumbling platform. We already rebooked for later in the year!
What an outstanding experience! Absolute privacy at the campsite, loads of spots along the river to hang out, hot springs were peaceful and lovely. All I could ask for and more!
I wish the sauna was available, but it wasn't. The hot springs were great though. And the camp site was satisfactory. We had a good time.
Such a beautiful place!! We loved our little spot by the river and the hot springs were so lovely!
