Pitch your tent in our beautiful oak grove, or in the heart of our wildflower prairie in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. You'll have easy access to potable water, a composting toilet, and can take advantage of the unique opportunity to learn about primitive skills and the homesteading lifestyle from your hosts, Danny and Sarah.

Danny is an herbalist and studies plant medicine extensively, often utilizing materials foraged from the property or from the nearby woods. Upon request, Danny can lead herb walks and foraging talks to interested campers.

Sarah is an accomplished survivalist and taxidermy artist, who teaches hide-tanning, skinning, and butchering. She has been featured on national television for her primitive survival skills, and can teach classes on tracking wildlife and tanning animal skins.

Let our homestead serve as your home base while you fish, hunt, hike, and explore the stunning Columbia River Gorge!

My family had an awesome time with Sara and Danny! Not only was the site easy to find and inexpensive, we were made to feel welcome and ended up sharing great conversation and food together. The night views are beautiful in this area as well!

Sarah and Dan were very helpful and thoughtful. They put up a shelter for me that helped me through an intense hail storm. And they checked to make sure I was okay.

My tent site in the oak grove.More thunder clouds in the way.The sky after the hailstorm.

We booked last minute, needing a place to land after a late concert in the Gorge. Sarah and Danny were very responsive and accommodating, and we appreciate it!

Sarah was a fantastic host. She showed us around and allowed us to get involved with the farm. Her animals are lovely. The camp site is basic but perfect for what we needed. There is a toilet and a shower as well as a fire pit area with propane barbecue available. Sara lives an amazing lifestyle we are envious of and is so welcoming. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

We had a hard time finding the place, the town doesn’t recognize the address, so our gps only brought us to the street but once we got there, it was pretty neat and a cool experience. I’d stay there again if I’m in that neck of the woods.

I was lucky to have the camp area to myself. I slept under the stars - no tent needed. I got the tour of the homestead which enabled me to see all the animals. It was a great spot, I liked the privacy and the picnic table area was a short walk and very nice. The bathroom is also a short walk. I’ll stay there again if I decide to revisit the Goldendale area.
