ABOUT WHEN PIGS FLY FARM:
GARDENS- A family-owned farm focused on organic and sustainable practices - our gardens are full of organic produce, berries, apples, grapes, herbs, lavender, & patches of wildflowers here and there.
*Our gardens are closed for tours & walkthroughs this year, but you can still stroll alongside them and see everything we have growing!
ANIMALS- Home to 7 alpacas, 30 laying hens, and 3 barn kitties.
Our alpacas wander and graze in the field along the campground during the day - Walk up and say hello!
The barn kitties sometimes like to explore, so you might see them sneaking around the gardens.
Feel free to take a stroll by the barn gate to take a closer look at our hens. (No guests in areas marked ‘Farmers Only’ please)
CAMPSITES- Our campground area includes 3 separate campsites for tent camping, and is a designated part of our working farm. Please stay within the campground area!
We have 2 restroom options for campers - one outdoor toilet near the main gate, and a brand new covered outdoor Shower & Bathroom.
*Quick note - our neighbors are other working farms, so while we try to preserve a peaceful environment for our campers, you might hear some farm ambiance from time to time :)
THINGS TO DO NEARBY- We are a quick drive away from water activities at Big Lake, hiking & gorgeous views at Little Mountain, and swimming at Clear Lake (*TEMPORARILY CLOSED). There are plenty of local trails nearby for hiking, biking, and exploring.
Downtown Mount Vernon is a scenic 20-minute drive from the farm. You can walk the outdoor promenade along the Skagit River, get takeout from local restaurants & coffee shops, or visit unique downtown shops that are taking top-notch safety precautions with masks and distancing.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES - Our self check-in process is completely contactless, and we are always available by text or phone if you need anything.
Our 3 campsites are well distanced from one another - located in three distinct areas of the campground, and separated by trees. We are booking each site at a limited capacity, to limit the number of guests on the farm at one time.
The campground has 3 permanent hand-sanitizing stations and hand-washing stations - At the main entrance, at the portable restroom, and at the main restroom / shower house.
Our only common spaces - toilets and shower house - are sanitized once daily, and all have open ventilation around the top to allow for better airflow.
Even though we are outdoors and operating at limited capacity, we ask that guests wear masks in common areas, or if you find yourself passing by other campers. Please leave a respectful amount of distance.

Beautiful farm! The campsites were well-marked and private. Facilities were well maintained. Loved the alpacas.
Love it! Good place to relaxed! The bathroom and shower are clean!

Hidden Meadow was a magical spot. The privacy was as described, we had a whole meadow to ourselves with visits from the neighbor horses. The solar lights that lit the way from the campsite to the public spaces were a lovely addition. The bathhouse was darling and so clean. The whole property was a delight to visit.
When Pigs Fly Farm was everything I had hoped it would be! Beautiful setting, absolute privacy at hidden meadow and a spotlessly clean shower and outhouse! We especially enjoyed the horses that visited us in the evening and again in the morning. We will be booking another night on a future trip!!
It was an amazing experience; the hidden meadows was really hidden and gave us the privacy from the other sites. Overall, very clean site and a good experience
We had a great time staying here with our three-year-old grandchild. It was the perfect place for him to be delighted by the alpacas, listening to the frogs and pretend to fish in the pond.
The hosts were very accommodating and the place was lovely
I've stayed at many Hipcamps and this is a stellar camp!
Beautiful, thoughtful and oh so clean cedar outhouse and shower. On-demand hot water.
The site was incredible. Horses, alpacas, privacy and open space. Clean, clean, clean. Clear interest in Covid safety.
I forgot my tarp and one was generously loaned to me. Eggs and wood I purchased were beautifully placed at our site.
A short drive from Seattle to a heavenly experience.
