We had a wonderful time at Janice's campground! The site was well maintained, a close drive to town, and just big enough for our needs! Janice was attentive and checked in to see if there was anything that we needed, and carts provided to being our stuff from the parking lot to camp site were a nice plus. Our pups (and neighbors' pups) enjoyed roaming around off-leash and playing together, and we all had a blast swimming in the river.
Found this perfect little spot last minute. Tents sites were next to each other but with enough space between. Dogs loved running in the open field, unleashed allowed. There is a perfect little river spot at the end of the area. Restroom facilities were very cleaned for being portable. Overall, great experience. Janice was a great host.
Awesome location near the river and a short drive from forks. Loved the fire pit, trash can, bathrooms, and wagons offered to move supplies. The other groups were partying and had a bunch of dogs off leash, but were chill.
A special gem of a camping spot
Virago exceeded all of our expectations! We stayed in the meadow sites, which allowed plenty of room for our family of 5, including teens. The river is beautiful with a wonderful swimming hole. The whole campground is clean and well attended. Janice is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and super responsive to her guests. She even whipped out brand new picnic tables for the whole campground during the weekend we stayed. Although the sites were all booked up during our stay, the guests were all respectful and quiet at bedtime and it never felt crowded. Don't miss this special place when visiting the coastal areas and Olympic national park.
Our group of 9 stayed in a couple of the meadow sites, and we loved them! It was so nice having the river right by the sites to cool off in after a day of hiking along the coast. Janice is wonderful, and she went above and beyond to help us out when another group had some confusion about site numbers. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for this beautiful place to camp, Janice!
