Wonderful little site to put the tent up in! Clean outhouse looked as if it was never used. Jumbo wagons to haul ouR camping gear. The rushing river sound was amazing feel asleep quickly!
Pretty cool spot! Definitely recommend getting sites that are further in the woods
Stargazing by the river/highway
Camped at the hilltop sights 1, 2, and 3. It was good for our party of 3 families. I would have been disappointed to camp in 1,2, or 3 without knowing the others there, next to strangers. 1,2,3 are close quarters. Since we all knew each other, it was so nice. Far enough away to have privacy from the rest of the camp.
On a hill next to a field. Not drive up....carry your stuff through the field. Really close to the highway. Really close.
The field we camped in was great for stargazing. The river is a short walk away, and great for swimming and playing in. Reason enough to stay here. The site is close to parks, beaches, and wilderness. Great home base.
Camp hosts introduced themselves soon after arrival, and were present, pleasant, friendly, and accommodating.
Would stay here again! Thanks Janice!
Our “pod” of three families stayed at hilltop sites 1, 2, and 3 Labor Day weekend. The sites were clean and in good condition. The ground was flat and shaded from morning sun. Our boys had the entire field to themselves to run around in and watching the stars and moon was amazing with no trees above. These sites are a longer walk from the river and the bathrooms but they were secluded from the other sites which cut down on the noise from the other campers. All three families said they would camp here again.
Host was amazing and helpful! The Hillside camp had three spots and unless your group books all three it's super awkward/uncomfortable how close they are. Bathrooms were clean and kept up, river access is great, sites were clean! Unfortunately there were off leash dogs who weren't friendly running around, which isn't on the site owner. I would definitely recommend this place just be aware that sites 1-3 are literally on the highway, but it wasn't too noisy or anything just being canopies to creat privacy.
