This site was great for a weekend getaway! Complete with a secluded spot to set up your tent, an outdoor kitchen and bathrooms its a complete package. The host is great as well and the property is great to tour!
Great camping site!
Camping Under The Cedars was an amazing experienced! I knew it would be a perfect fit when I met Stephanie and her sweet dog Wylie. She took us to our campsite, gave us the run down on the kitchen, bathrooms and shower and left us to our own devices.
Having the kitchen area made things extremely easy for us when it came to prepping meals and cleaning up aftereards. Her complimentary kitchen accesories were much appreciated!
Our second day there, we went to a local trail and spent the day hiking and exploring the cute town that is close by. Having that outdoor shower was really nice after all that hiking!
Stephanie made a point to text and keep in touch throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable. Which we were! The entire time. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the frogs near by.
I plan on coming back again soon and I cant wait!
Stephanie was a very welcoming host and the property was beautiful. Based on the photos it wasn't as private as we expected. Our tent and campsite area could easily be seen by anyone walking or driving by on the driveway/road.
The hot shower that was offered was a huge plus, although it is right next to the women's toilet and I could hear someone poop during my shower. The compostable toilets are available to use but we drove ten minutes to Safeway to poop there.
We brought our own stove and cooking supplies but if you didn't have any, the kitchen accommodations were really helpful.
It has a lot of accommodations, it's a beautiful property, and just a 30 minute drive to Seattle. I think the photos disappointed us because we were expecting more of a private experience that we received.
Stephanie was very kind and helpful, making us feel very comfortable to be staying on her property. Her dog is very sweet and made us feel welcome right away. The chorus of forest birds provides a wonderful ambience only about a half hour out of Seattle. This would make a great getaway for people who are trying to take a breather from the skyscrapers and are happy exhaling with the ferns. If you are a high maintenance city person, maybe you are in search of a more "glamped" option. If you are happy with a camp fire and to be in the shelter of tall trees, this is a cute place to hide from work for a minute.
Stephanie was a fantastic host! Directons were super clear, she explained how the campsite worked and what the expectations were, everything was super clear and she was super friendly!
However, the site left much to be desired. There is a massive mosquitoe issue, with bugs out at all times during the day and sadly they seem to be bug spray immune.
The site also isnt as private as we thought it would be, being visible from the driveway and anyone walking to the mainhouse. There are also many residents that live on the property, including in the main kitchen area, making it hard to have time just a group while cooking a meal.
Stephanie was amazing, and the glamping was wonderful. The kitchen was a great tool to have, and the shower was amazing after a long day hiking.
