This is an add on site only to site 8. This is a small site where it can accommodate one 2-3 man tent. It is in the woods under the tall cedars and the bog where the frogs are. You are about 20 ft away from Large site 8 and site 6, so it is really only used as an add on site if others you know are reserving large site 8. Sites 6, 7 and 8 are within 20 feet of each other. Sites 1,2,3,4 and 5 are further apart. 40-200 ft apart. Please note that you can potentially share the camp ground with up to 8 other parties at 8 other sites over a couple of acres. (One party at a time due to Covid-19) The amenities of a hot camp shower, women's and men's composting toilets and an outdoor kitchen with cold running water, pots, pans, dishes and silverware are about a 30 ft away. (We also have surface and hand sanitizers.) It does not have a fire pit, however there is a community fire pit about about 75 ft away and if you are adding this site to site 8 (for a larger party) then the fire cauldron is 20 ft away at site 8. We can only accept those 18 and above. Please, no cigarette smoking anywhere on property, for cannabis there is an area away from camping area, please inquire if needed. Check in is between 3-6 PM. Stephanie was an amazing host. She went out of her way to get us into the best spot for our needs and was very lovely to talk to. She has put a lot of thought into the amenities and culture of the property. Having a kitchen to wash dishes in was amazing and I really appreciated the composting toilet. It's a lovely property with lots of trees.
I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quiet place to relax.
However, I do want to note that the campsites are quite close together, so if you're looking for privacy or a place to get wild, this is not it. Quiet hours start at 9, which is quite early when the sun stays up later than that. We did our best to adhere to the rules and be respectful, but typically we're rowdy campers so it wasn't easy. If you're the kind of people who want to stay up late hooting and hollering at the sky, this is not the place for you. But if you want to get a good night's sleep and possibly meet some like-minded outdoorsy folks, this could be perfect, as it's very relaxing and has great vibes.
Additionally, the photographs on the site are difficult to really see how the campsites are laid out and what space you will have. I would recommend checking in with Stephanie before booking to make sure you have an understanding of space and location of the site on property. Our booked site would not have worked for us, but luckily Stephanie was awesome and helped move us somewhere that was much bigger.
Thanks for the great weekend Stephanie!
