Unique, unforgettable experience. This is a 3-person tree tent suspended 6 ft above the ground overlooking the Strait of Juan De Fuca. It's like you are floating over the water. You can lay in the tent and watch an incredible sunset every night.
There is a fire pit sandy area where you can cook or just enjoy a fire (lots of fire wood you can scrounge for). There is a porta potty and potable water provided. There is a lot of space for other tents if you want to travel with others. Otherwise, the only people you should see are the ones on the cruise ships that are sailing by.

The vibe at Breathtaking Tree Tent
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
If you are looking for a camping experience that is both unique and secluded, the Tree Tent is the spot! Such a cool experience sleeping suspended above the ground overlooking the ocean. The space is quiet and private, but still not too far from the owner's home so if you need anything, you're not stuck out there totally alone. There is a porta-potty, a wheelbarrow and fresh water provided, as well as a container filled with some sleeping pads and blankets, fire starters and even some games. I've never had a comfier night sleep; the tree tent truly rocks you to sleep (it's windy during the day but less so at night) and your back isn't smashed up against the ground like traditional tent camping. The view over the ocean cannot be beach...sunset here was absolutely breathtaking.
This camp site was magical! The views are unreal! I was honestly not a huge fan of sleeping in a suspended tent, but absolutely everything else was amazing. It was secluded and absolutely breathtaking. I would stay here again and again.
Breathtaking is an accurate way to describe how amazing this spot is. A little tricky/confusing to find but completely worth it . The tent is very safe my wife and I slept soundly once we got used to the idea of hovering above the ground all night. I'm a big guy and it did great. the view of the ocean and Canada and the sunset... everything's unreal. amazing trip. If you've got the time definitely stay here.
My fiancé and I stayed three nights here and let me tell you the view is absolutely breathtaking. They do not lie when they use that word as a description because wow. We were able to sit and watch the most beautiful sunset every night before bed. The tree tent was surprisingly pretty comfy to sleep in too! We even had a windy rain storm pick up one night and it kept us fairly dry and we always stayed warm. They do provide some necessities like fresh water, a porta potty that isn’t too far away from the sight, and a hatchet to gather wood from the area. They also provide games which I thought was nice. We used that more than anything I think just because there’s not much else to do there! If you’re expecting to hike around or explore there are no trails to walk or hike much. There is a cute little family of deer that live nearby that we kept seeing at our site as well as a few bald eagles and a hawk we saw fly over. While the view is beautiful, it is such a tease with no beach access! Looking at that beautiful shore and not being able to walk down and put your feet in the water was a bummer for me. But I feel like the view makes everything worth it and it is definitely a unique experience to sleep suspended in the air. We felt farely secluded however you can see some houses through the trees as well as hear some construction going on as I think they are building or remodeling a home near by but we did feel a bit safer knowing others were close. Also! We had a dead battery when we were trying to leave and Beverly’s husband was nice enough to come give us a jump! Thank goodness! Will definitely recommend!
Beverly met us at the camp site and made us feel very welcome. The camp site is immaculate with everything you need, including seating, fire pit, axe and saw. The tree tent was quite the experience and very comfortable. The view is way better in person, and just, can't say enough how amazing of an experience it was!
Great private location with a spectacular view. We opted to use our own tent instead of the tree tent (I was a bit nervous about fuddling around with a ladder in the middle of the night) but it didn’t at all detract from the experience. The site was thoughtfully supplied with camping extras, a table/bench and ample chairs. Nothing beats falling asleep to crashing waves and awakening to singing birds!
We had the best time! campsite is clean and easy to get to. Not to mention, the most amazing view! The host was super friendly and were super helpful when we had a few hiccups. We only stayed one night but could easily find ourselves here longer. For sure recommend it!
