The vibe at PotLeaf Treehouse
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We visited the PotLeaf Tree House on a day when it had been raining for almost 2 or 3 days in a row, with no signs of stopping. The place looked too cool not visit though, so we made our way out there and wow, we are so glad we did.
As you pull up the driveway and look to your left, the tree house is suddenly before you, it was almost as if we had stepped into a fairy tale. Tracy bounded out from the main house that she lives in almost as soon as we arrived. We heard laughter before we saw her and then were greeted with the biggest grin and the friendliest of hellos. She spent the next five minutes or so giving us a tour of the place (there's a place to take a hot shower, a port-a-pot, a water spigot, etc.) and then let us be!
We had never been in a place quite like this before. The inside has these small, warm lights that give the treehouse the most magical feeling. It's small, but still, didn't seem crowded with the two of us in there. We hung out in the lower area of the tree house for a good while before climbing up the wooden ladder to sleep. The rain continued to pour but we never felt a drop, the treehouse stayed super dry.
In the morning, we woke to the natural light that slowly filled the space from the roof above. It was a really peaceful way to wake up. It was still raining out but it was light out and after making coffee and breakfast, we wanted to explore. We met the dogs, the donkey, the horse (apparently there's a pig but we never met him/her) and also saw the other places for rent: two small micro-shelters as well as a camping area and a whole other treehouse, the Hashtag Treehouse. Each of them is unique and if we had more time, we would have liked to stay at them all.
This place is pure magic! Whole pulling up we caught glimpses of the tree house and as we pulled in the driveway we were in awe of just how perfect it was! Tracey came to greet us immediately and it was like catching up with a best friend. She was sweet and wonderful with an infectious laugh that could put a smile on anyone's face. We spent the night around a fire staring up at a beautiful starry night sky before calling it a night and climbing into our fairy lit teahouse. We drifted off to sleep listening to the breeze and watching the stars twinkle above us. We've already decided we will be back here hopefully everyone April <3 Tracey's beautiful property has inspired us in so many ways!
