Enjoy a pacific northwest sunrise over the private meadow at our Sanctuary home just 10 minutes outside of Port Townsend, and an hour from the Olympic National Park. In a quiet neighborhood we steward one acre, with land trust protected acreage surround us on 3 sides. You'll hardly know anyone is around most days... and you can easily disappear into over 100 acres of wooded trails, or wander to an ocean cliff with views of Protection Island only a 20 minute walk away. You'll camp in a lovely meadow with a sunrise view, have access to our fire pit and hot tub, outdoor shower, and a composting toilet. We live on the land in two small dwellings and are warm, welcoming and depending on the day and what we're up to, private and social! We are happy to leave you lots of space, and to make sure you are comfortable. We'll only host one camping group of 2 at a time, so it's all yours!

The vibe at East Meadow

Songhouse Sanctuary is beautiful! There's a great spot to put your tent in lovely meadow close to her sweet cabin and then you're on the border of 100 acres of nature preserve filled with 90+ miles of rarely used trail. We wish we had more time to hike to the ocean cliff with views of Protect Island—it's only 20 minutes away, but the hike we did through the forest was super cool. Your campsite comes with access to a hot tub (!!), outdoor shower, hammock, and outdoor fire pit. Nearby Port Townsend (~10min) is super cool, great coffee shops, try Rusty Anchor for amazing seafood especially the crab cakes and fish and chips. Aimee is a lovely host and this space feels very special, beautiful and safe. Perfect for a couple or solo camper. Highly recommend!!
The Songhouse Sanctuary is a safe, comfortable place to pitch your tent and enjoy the quietude of Port Townsend. We enjoyed hiking the trails from the meadow and had access to get all of our needs met. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working during our stay but Aimee offered a fair solution for the limited amenities. She was responsive and accessible and made us feel comfortable in her space.
