The Songhouse Sanctuary got it's name by the open, quiet, and private energy of the land ...and by virtue of the songbirds that live here. That being actual bird variety, and the 2 stewards, Aimée & Aimée who love to sing together & with anyone who'll join us! We're a friendly couple with a dog, Shuba, and cat, Lucy - also very friendly - and we are into sharing our peaceful and easy ways. You may not see much of us as we respect your privacy and love our own... but if it feels just right we may end up out there by the fire with you! You'll look out on an open meadow with hawthorn, wild roses, and beyond that a surround of your PNW favorite trees, cedar, fir and alder. 100 acres of trails are just across the street and will take you off into a magical world to explore. This is a great place to stop if you are wanting an outdoor experience with proximity to Port Townsend and access to adventures in the Olympics. You are provided with wood for fires, and we'll happily give you the lay of the land. We'll also leave you a gallon of filtered drinking water per person each night's stay.

East Meadow
The Songhouse Sanctuary is a safe, comfortable place to pitch your tent and enjoy the quietude of Port Townsend. We enjoyed hiking the trails from the meadow and had access to get all of our needs met. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working during our stay but Aimee offered a fair solution for the limited amenities. She was responsive and accessible and made us feel comfortable in her space.

Great location! Great host! Felt right at home and felt private! Firepit was nice and there was plenty of wood. Beautiful morning fog completed a wonderful adventure!

East Meadow
Songhouse Sanctuary is beautiful! There's a great spot to put your tent in lovely meadow close to her sweet cabin and then you're on the border of 100 acres of nature preserve filled with 90+ miles of rarely used trail. We wish we had more time to hike to the ocean cliff with views of Protect Island—it's only 20 minutes away, but the hike we did through the forest was super cool. Your campsite comes with access to a hot tub (!!), outdoor shower, hammock, and outdoor fire pit. Nearby Port Townsend (~10min) is super cool, great coffee shops, try Rusty Anchor for amazing seafood especially the crab cakes and fish and chips. Aimee is a lovely host and this space feels very special, beautiful and safe. Perfect for a couple or solo camper. Highly recommend!!
