Loved staying at Gerald's property! We stayed in site #3-- be aware that you have to walk your gear up a super short path. It wasn't a big deal but should be noted. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and there is plenty of space to roam and explore. River access was super easy and we loved laying out on the dock literally all day. Gerald is super kind and wonderful to chat with. Highly recommend!
Beautiful place by the snohomish
It’s a beautiful location on the Snohomish River, with 2 sites right next to the shore, and one more private one tucked up above. There is parking next to all 3, but site number 1 isn’t suitable for RVs because of the steep slope and curve at the bottom. But there is still plenty of RV parking for any size in the lot between the 3 sites. There is also a great overlook of the river with 4 picnic tables. We saw bald eagles flying down the river at dusk.
Lovely spot with three sites -- worth noting that our monster tent (10x14) didn't fit into the site 3 spot up on the hill (which is a really charming clearing area cut into a bunch of blackberries so super private up there), although there was plenty of space on the gravel pull-in below. Would be useful to have a few more photos of the different sites and dimensions in the listing. The only other thing to note is that there can be a lot of really noisy boat and jet ski traffic up and down the river during the day. It quiets down at night, though.
The site itself is really well-maintained with an absolutely lovely view of the river. Picnic benches are easy to get to if you want to do propane stove cooking or sit with a few friends. I suspect renting all three sites for a group would be a ton of fun for a weekend. Fire pits are plentiful so it's really easy to get a fire going.
It's nearby (but not too close to feel like you're in an urban center!) to Snohomish town center, so it's a quick jaunt out to get supplies or spend some time wandering the many, many, antique stores there. We randomly ran across a delightful "Rivers End" beer festival that was absolutely charming to stop in at for a few hours on Saturday.
We stayed at campsite 1. It was perfect for our three tents. There was a picnic table at the site with an umbrella. The barn where the restrooms are was under construction but there was a clean porter potty available for use. The site is right near the river we walked down to the dock and tied up our inter tubes and relaxed. It was a great stay we will definitely be back! Also Gerald was great! Super friendly and helpful!
Outstanding river campsite
Gerald was very helpful and quick in responding to questions. His place was very nice and clean. We had a tent trailer and site #2 was perfect. After we settled in, he came out to great us, and was very friendly. The place is very quiet and private.
site #1 was great. it was a bit small for two tents, especially if they are large tents. We have a 10x10 tent and it took up most of the back corner of the site. Our friends tent had a smaller footprint but we figured out how to position everything so it didn't feel so crowded. Other than that though it was a great location with easy access to the river.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a nearby (to Seattle) camping getaway.
