This property is a historic 1890s mountainside homestead in the heart of Cascadia. Cabins and camping for those who love rustic adventure and a journey back in time. Originally plotted at 100 acres, the property and area remain largely unchanged, with very few neighbors and is backed up against the North Cascades wilderness and close to Mt. Baker, the Salish Sea, and so much more. The historic Nooksack Valley gold mine trail abuts the property and there is adventure and wildlife upon stepping out of your cabin or tent. Special attention has been paid to creating an authentic rustic experience that feels as old as the original buildings that still stand on the property. Many tree varieties, a creek with swimming hole and incredible view from the back of the property are just some of the features of this special place.

Worldclass mountain and river sports at nearby Mt Baker. For urban excursions, we are 20 minutes from Bellingham, 1 hour from Vancouver BC, and 1.5 hours from Seattle WA. So much to see and do in and around the area. Upon request we also offer guided interpretive hikes through the wilderness adjacent to the property.

This place is seriously heaven on earth.
This is by far the best find on Hipcamp for us! We will be back.
The area itself is beautiful farm country mixed with mountains - breathtaking sunsets. The cabin is on a big piece of land with other small cabins, a common kitchen and a fully functional washroom. The cabin is the cutest ever - with an elevated bed from which you have the best view ever. There's blackberry bushes all around -mmmm the best treat! There's also a creek behind the land where we could have a swim.
Reg - the host - was the best! He's so generous and kindhearted - he gave us a tour, told us about where to go and what to see, he shared his propane fire pit with us (there was a fire ban), really made sure that we had everything we needed, took the time to get to know us, and was just overall a great person. The stay wouldn't have been the same without his personality.

We loved staying in this little cabin. It was cozy and adorable, the area is lovely, and it's enveloped by blackberry bushes! The little creek on the property is a magical swimming hole where I would be happy to spend all day, every day, if I had time. Reg was a great and helpful host and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance.

This is an incredible place and Reg is an amazing host
.

Perfect location for exploring Mt Baker and Bellingham.

I slept incredibly. gorged on as many blackberries as I could eat, experienced amazing sunsets and starlit skies.
This place is a great value. Reg has a great eye and it's reflected through out the property

We had a fun stay at this little cabin. Our bed was comfty and the cabin was clean and big enough to relax in. The property is large and pretty, with a cool creek running through it, as mentioned. Our stay was short, but it seems like it would be a fun place to explore. Reg was very nice and easy to talk to. The shower and kitchen are a work in progress, and you do share the property with some other campers. All in all, it has more amenities than you would get with dispersed camping and more privacy than a crowded campground. It was a good find for us!

Reg is a super nice host, very helpful and available without being intrusive. The location ended up being fantastic - we loved the field and there was no one else staying so we had the place to our self for us and daughter and dog. There are a number of structures on the property in various states or repair/disrepair and some of the vacant ones are a little creepy at first and need some cleaning up. But the property is beautiful, Reg is great, and once we got used to things we settled right in and would definitely go back. Our cabin was comfortable, clean, and perfect for our needs.

This was literally a dream experience! Not only was the cabin as cute, comfortable, and clean as expected, but the valley it's in on Reg's property was absolutely beautiful and Reg was the chillest and best host. Reg is also a fountain of wisdom on things to do and see in the area, and there is SO MUCH for being so out in the wild. If you're driving home south to Seattle I suggest taking the coastal route from Anacortes down through Whidbey. It's crazy. Literally the best mini vacation I've ever taken. See you again soon Reg!
