It is cute....
The inside of the Tiny Nest is exactly as pictured. As cute as can be. I'll go over the pluses first. The host, Lu is very nice. He lives nextdoor, which I didn't realize. Some campers like that, some don't. I don't have a preference one way or the other, but I would like to know. The place is bigger than what I expected. I didn't realize that there really are two bedrooms, one with a sliding door and one with an actual door! That's a nice feature. I didn't need it, as I went alone, but getting 2 bedrooms for the price is very good! There is a real shower. Take it rather quickly though...abt 5-7 min of hot water. There is also a standard flush toilet! It's not an RV toilet. Nice feature.
It could just be me, but the larger bed is a bit rough on the back. You'd better be really young or have no back issues whatsoever.
I was a little surprised by how CLOSE it was to next door. It is separated only by a line of tall bushes. I could hear voices outside the sleeping area during the day because it's summertime and I needed to open the windows. I should have asked (I guess), but looking at the pictures, I got the impression that the unit was more private, separated from any other dwellings on the property. Some people who are planning on being out most of the day probably wouldn't mind at all. I went there to read, paint and write.
Overall, it was a good experience. It was less costly (by about 1/3) than I paid just 2 miles down the road, in July 2019! I would recommend to people who have a lot of things they want to do during the day, in the town of Sequim or Port Angeles. Not so much for hanging out in all day 🙂
Wow wow wow! This RV was just perfect for us. Lu took us in last minute and was very flexible. The place has all facilities needed, very clean and beautifully decorated. The stay was comfortable for 3 adults.
This is the perfect escape from busy city life and is conveniently located near Olympic National park and a bunch of wineries.
The warm hosts have taken care of the tiniest details in the RV to make it feel homely and cozy :)
Such a cute, comfortable space! Lu has really thought of everything to make sure her guests have a pleasant stay. It’s very clean and well maintained. The outdoor area is such a treat as well.
Thumbs up for the cute nest
Loved, Loved, Loved The Cute Nest. Accommodations were very clean and cozy. The Beds were super comfy. Everything we needed for cooking was provided. It was our 1st time staying in an RV... it was decorated tastefully. We will most definitey visit again. Our host was friendly and brought us fresh eggs, which were delish. Thanks Lu
Perfect spot for two!
We loved our stay at the Cute Nest and only wished we had booked more time! It was really perfect for a mother daughter vacation, and when Lu says she has everything you need, she really means it— Ground coffee, filters, spices for cooking, a fully-equipped kitchen, shampoo and conditioner, plenty of soap and green cleaning supplies. We found the beds very comfortable, and there were so many homey touches; the lavender pillow spray being a favorite.
Although Lu’s home is right next door, we felt very secluded and you really can’t even see the house through the very dense hedge that separates the trailer. We didn’t hear or see anyone, and the outdoor sitting area was cozy and well appointed.
The only warning I would give to people considering a stay here or is that it really is a tight squeeze in the “master” bedroom, which is also the bathroom. If you’ve ever gone on a cruise, you’ll be familiar with how confined state rooms can be. It felt sort of like that, which wasn’t a problem for us but is worth mentioning to others.
A final shout-out to Lu and extra gold stars—we locked our keys (and phone) in the car, and she kindly let us use her cell phone to reach a locksmith (on a Sunday, at 6pm no less 😒) and loaned us another key until we had the situation ironed out. Little things like that go a long way and I can’t say enough how much we appreciated the kindness.
We’ll be back again for a longer stay, dates be willing!
My friend and I stayed at Lu's place last week. We had an incredible stay here! Everything was SO clean, and the decor inside made the van feel super homey. About a 40 minute drive away from Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, and Mount Storm King hike area. If you are staying here at night, definitely drive over to the Dungeness Spit for sunset, which is only 12 minutes away.
