What a find! The Tahuya adventure resort is one of our new favorites. The Cromers are doing something really special out on the Olympic. The resort is hand-built to an amazing degree and quality which blew us away, it was so luxurious and still so rustic. As we stayed there in the awesome Cabin 1 we were at the beginning stages of all the awesome things they are doing at the resort, like bringing in many new ATV's to rent and take on the miles of trails near by, and even zip lines through the forest for adults and kids! As of August there were two cabins and multiple RV hook up sites, and those RV sites will each hold a similar cabin by next summer. They are pulling out all the stops way out there at Tahuya and we urge everyone to go and check it out! Did we mention the bathroom? It was legitimately nicer than ours at home haha! Go visit!
Tahuya Adventure Resort was such a cool experience! We stayed in tent number 1 which had even more space than I realized. The bed was comfy, coffee pot set with grounds for us, a heater at night, and the porch was perfect for sitting and relaxing on. They have plenty of acreage around so we just adventured around there during the day. We took advantage of the communal kitchens and propane fire pits as there was a burn ban in effect. Also...the bathrooms🙌🏼 Seriously the nicest restroom I’ve ever used during any outdoor adventure. We would love to go back once all six tents are up and ready to go!
The tents are very nice and accommodating. The hosts are very friendly. There is a communal area that allows you to do all your cooking, but be sure to bring everything you need. It was also not an issue with social distancing. The bathrooms are nearby and clean. I was unsure where the showers were, though. I do think maybe a little overpriced. You also need to be aware of this being an ATV resort. It can be a bit noisy at times.
This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out.
