Welcome to our little slice of heaven on the sandy banks of the Skagit River! Our 3 spacious and private campsites are on approximately five riverfront acres adjacent to our family farm of 43 years. About 65 miles north of Seattle and just minutes from I-5, get ready to nestle in under the towering cottonwoods, watch Canadian geese fly overhead, dip your toes in the sand, pick some wild blackberries and experience Peace Like a River. Take a walk along miles of dike, launch your kayak in the river, cast your line and fish the glacial waters, or just soak up the tranquil beauty. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. You will find epic hiking, biking, foodie destinations and endless opportunities to explore the natural beauty of nearby mountains, lakes and saltwater.
Each campsite site is grassy, partially shaded, level and furnished with a 8’ picnic table. Potable water and recycling/garbage is located conveniently close by. Our customized port-a-potty is clean and well maintained. Sites are designed for one recreational vehicle (20' or less) or 2 tents. No solid fuel fires are allowed in Peace Like a River sites (1,2,3). However, campers can bring their own propane fire pit to use and gas grills.
Our family has great respect for the beauty and power of the river. Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places and the glacial water is very cold, has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are highly recommended and we discourage swimming.

Wonderful location with access to the river. The specific sights are laid out away from each other.
This is hands down our favorite Hipcamp site we’ve ever been to! We immediately booked again for the next two weekends. We (3 couples) stayed at the group site, and there was plenty of room for our van, car + tent, and car + trailer. We grilled kebabs over the giant fire pit, enjoyed fresh produce from Steve and Sharon’s garden, launched our kayaks and paddle boards right from the site, and enjoyed what feels like a private beach. The outdoor sink, counter, and grill were super convenient, and everything including the cute outhouse was super clean and in great shape. We love Steve and Sharon and look forward to many fun weekends here!

Gina, thank you so much for all your kind words! So very encouraging and helpful to us! We love having you and your group here and look forward to seeing you very soon!
This was our second visit to Stephen and Sharon’s place and once again we had a lovely stay! Plenty of privacy, easy access to the river for our kayaks and all the amenities we needed. The giant rope swing was so much fun and our pup had a great time roaming the land. Sharon and Stephen left us some helpful recommendations of local places to visit (go and get an “immodest ice cream” from the nearby Snowgoose market and tasty pastries from the Breadfarm!) and we were greeted with a nice bunch of flowers from their garden. We love this spot and recommend it highly!
We really enjoyed camping here. The amenities were great, easy access to fresh water, the group camp area had an outdoor kitchen area and there was a nice horseshoe pit. The access to the river beach area is very easy. The sites are spread out and located behind cottonwood trees. What made the trip really stand out were the hosts. Stephen and Sharon are the kindest people and we’re so helpful and responsive. They even had beautiful flowers on the camping tables with fresh fruits from their garden on all of the campsite table, which was very thoughtful.

Stephen and Sharon were wonderful hosts. They were easy to communicate with and very welcoming. They even had fresh local flowers, corn and plums waiting for us when we arrived. The campsite is absolutely beautiful. Spacious and private. The river and tree swing were a hit with our kids.

Maria, so glad it was a wonderful family weekend! We enjoyed hosting you and thank you for your encouraging feedback.
Group site was excellent, and fit 4 adults and 2 children with plenty or room. The fire pit was awesome and camp kitchen made great additions. Also, being alongside the river was peaceful. Hosts made us feel welcome and easy to communicate. Overall, we had a great time staying at the site.
A bit more expensive than your standard campsite, but the location is really nice and even at full capacity there's lots of space between sites. We'll probably come back and bring more people to the group site, which has a nice outdoor kitchen

What a great oasis close but just far enough away from home (Seattle.) The site and scenery were beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. The outdoor kitchen at the group site was almost better than the kitchen inside my house!

So glad your group enjoyed your stay, Renee! It was a such a pleasure to have you and we we look forward to seeing you again.
