Tent Site Open For 2020 COVID ready

*COVID-19 UPDATE* - in this strange time we are prioritizing safety by reducing our available sites to the one further away from the house. We will be hosting only one group at a time and allowing enough time in between each visit to allow for proper cleaning and for any viral load potentially present to die down so you can feel confident of your safety during your stay.
We are trying to set up any accommodations or requests (like firewood or BBQ utensils) ahead of arrival to reduce contact. Our bathroom is still well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, as well as a foot pump hand sink and soap. Come and unwind with us.
50% DISCOUNT ON THE WEEKNIGHTS....Skip the crowded campgrounds and stay with us instead! We are a family of 3 (Ben, Lauren, and Odie) working on building a permaculture farm. We have nice sunsets above the treeline and on clear nights, the stargazing is "out of this world" (get it?) We now have a composting toilet and fire pit up and running for your "business" and pleasure (see what I did there?)
There is a discreet, steep and narrow footpath down to the shallow river with small waterfall where you can splash around, try to catch a fish and view wildlife. We have signs to direct you to the path down. If you have a camper or RV please check out our RV spot listing.
Our 20 acres is located outside the city limits of Hoquiam, WA (about 8 curvy but accessible mountain miles/20 minutes from town.) We are about 30 minutes from the ocean beaches (Ocean Shores to the North and Westport to the South to name a couple.) 30 minutes to the Olympic National Forest.
There is no cell service here on the farm. (Maybe a whiff of Verizon if the wind is blowing just right and Mercury is in retrograde.) We do offer Free Wifi up by the bathroom/ firepit area for Wifi calling but the coverage doesn't reach to the actual campsite.
CHILD POLICY: We like to see children connecting with nature at an early age and therefore offer camping for children 5 and under at no additional charge. If you have Children 5 and under please let us know in a message but dont include them in the head count when booking.

The hosts were right there to welcome me to the site, and provided a tour of the area to camp! The land itself is perfect for an overnight stay close to Olympic National Park and the coast. The tent area is soft and level, and the view of the stream from the site is great as well. There is no bathroom, but there are towns nearby to cover that.
Wonderful site for several tents and campers! Host was really helpful and provided our group wifi and a well maintained outhouse. Great for a quick overnight stay (or longer if your trip permits!)
Lauren responded quickly and provided suggestions for questions I had about fishing nearby. The toilet they made is very clean, and they added lights to find it in the night (though it's far enough from the tent site that it's still dark there). We didn't use the communal fire pit, but it's very large and tucked away from their house for privacy. The trail to the campsite was a bit overgrown but that might be normal given this time of year. Overall, a great place to stay over.

Thanks for your review! Your feedback helps us improve. We will look into getting better lighting in and around the outhouse. The overgrowth certainly is a constant battle and we will do out best to stay on top of it. Thanks again and come back and see us any time!
We were so grateful that Lauren chose to open up her farm for us to camp! We would definitely recommend this for other tent campers and cyclists. The location near Hoquiam, WA was super convenient for us, near the end of a four day bike tour of the Olympic Penninsula. To be honest, there were not many campsites listed nearby other than RV parks so that's why we were so happy to find The Garret Family Farm. Lauren communicated clearly, was very welcoming and the outdoor spaces were meticulously cared for. We enjoyed a night of solitary camping, away from the bustle of state parks. The location was quiet, protected and private. If we stayed longer I'm sure we would have appreciated the fire area and BBQ. Thanks again Lauren!

Thank you so much for the review! It was so awesome to get to host you. I hope the bike went smoothly. What an amazing adventure to embark upon! Come back and see us any time!
Perfect place, nicely arranged

Thank you so much. It was a pleasure hosting you! I hope you enjoyed your tour of the American West!
Great site. Relaxed host. Thank you!

Thanks so much for stopping by on your tour of America. It was a pleasure hosting you. I will have to get some pictures of the bioluminescent moss you found! What a cool discovery.
We loved our stay at the Garrett family farm! The campsite was nice and soft and flat and had tree cover for the bit of rain we experienced. The view of the creek was lovely. We also enjoyed having access to the fire pit. Thanks Lauren!
The campsite had several great options for where to set up your tent, and was spacious enough for a two person tent and a four person tent. The composting outhouse was clean and well maintained, as was the fire pit area. Lauren was really nice and arranged to be home when we arrived, and showed us around the property. Definitely would recommend!
Very nice location!
The sound of the stream running nearby made me sleep like a baby!
Hosts were friendly and helpful whenever we asked for anything but otherwise gave us our privacy.
