Beautiful river location!
Beautiful spot close to the river! We loved hearing the sound of the river all night. Lots of shade and the owner is very nice and makes sure you have everything you need. I have a large truck camper and it was a tight squeeze getting in and no space to turn around. I would not recommend a travel trailer due to the access. The owner said she was going to clear some additional space which would help with this.
Many lovely aspects of this camp, the river is gorgeous. Though, I was a little disappointed with the concentration of houses around the site. There was an individual very close by who used a leaf blower (or some such equally loud device) for about 3 hours every morning. It somewhat reduced the feeling of isolation one seeks when camping.
Overall good experience. We arrived after dark and there was no signage aside from the address number, but we figured it out. First night there, around midnight, a neighbor’s dog ran barking into the campsite out of nowhere, giving us a startle. Fortunately we had not brought our dog with us or I worry there would have been trouble.
The campsite itself, as others have noted, is down a short path from the parking spot. This site is definitely better for tent camping. There is a hose providing fresh water and the outhouse was well maintained.
The campers before us had left some bits of garbage around the picnic table, but nothing heinous.
The river nearby was beautiful and I loved hearing it at night. There are rocks for sitting in the sun and dipping your toes in the cool water.
There was some mixed messaging about fires. When I first booked the site over a month beforehand I am almost certain the listing said campfires were allowed (since I had placed that filter on my search). When it came time for the trip, the listing info had changed and it was “small fires for ambiance only. Kindling will be provided.” Well, we built a fire with said kindling but were ultimately asked to put it out due to health concerns from a neighbor. There was also a burn ban in effect (though there are no-fee permits available for small recreational and cooking fires in this area). I think the host will be allowing only smokeless fires in the future, which is perfectly reasonable, but hopefully the fire pit will be removed and this will be made explicit in the listing to avoid confusion.
This is a beautiful area of Washington. We did some Twin Peaks site seeing and enjoyed Snoqualmie Falls. As others have noted, this is a residential neighborhood, and while the campsite is mostly obscured from view, there are houses on either side within a couple dozen yards.
Everything was great!
I loved the site, it’s so nice that the river it’s so close, it was great there was a picnic table, the place it’s just beautiful
Priscila was awesome! She was super nice, very helpful and she left some bathroom supplies which was nice and she also left the fire pit ready for us, we will definitely go back again soon
Priscilla's place is heavenly! So much better than the photos show. Unfortunately when my hubby and I went it was raining and because our only shelter was from the awning on our van so we didn't really get to take full advantage of the wonderful campsite and river that is just below where you park. The campsite is located in a litte neighborhood and from where you park you can see some houses, down a little path is a beautiful campsite with a table and firepit and plenty of room for tents. From this area you cannot see anyone and it feels very private, is quite and serine. Then down a short path to the river which is gorgeous and can be heard all night. Up near the parking area there is a perfect little outhouse that was very clean and pleasant. Priscilla was so kind and helpful! We texted her to ask for a folding table so we could cook under our van awning since the site with the picnic table was below. Her house is on the next lot and she was in no was intrusive, but there if we needed anything. Truly an A+ host. We were very sad to have to leave early because of the rain as the site was so beautiful. We will be back again hopefully in dryer weather.
What a gem!
This campsite is tucked into a beautiful neighborhood located next endless wilderness. The creek is wonderful to listen to at night and it is conveniently located close to town. This site has all the things For the start of a great adventure.
Such a nice camp site!
This camp site was perfect! Right next to the river- there’s nothing like falling asleep to that sound! Plenty of room for the dogs to roam. Even ended up chatting with the neighbors and they were nice too! Would definitely come back and camp here again. Only thing- the paths got pretty muddy in the rain, so if that’s in the forecast where good shoes!
Lovely place by the river!
We spent two nights here end of June - loved the little trail with the private space along the lake. There was a hose hooked up from the nearby house to provide water, and a clean outhouse for our use. And Priscilla was very responsive to questions and queries.
We had 2 tents, the clearing with the picnic table and fire ring could really only accomodate one tent, but there was space up by where we parked our car (by the old chimney-15 second walk down the path to the clearing) for the 2nd tent, no problem.
There was a question about the ability to have campfires - apparently a nearby neighbor is not keen on having people do fires (fire danger was officially low/green so that was not the problem) - so if it's important to you, you should get clarity on whether or not you can have one before you go.
Lovely experience overall - I would recommend!
Wonderful site with three levels
Site has 3 levels with great areas to relax. The sound of the river was so relaxing and helped us sleep! Tent area near fire ring was wonderful. The trees helped protect us from rain.
