Site 1 The River Beach
Great little setup on the banks of Slippery Creek. Easy access to the Forest Land above and a short walk to Greenwater. Fires on the banks and the babble of the water make for a great experience!

This was our third stay at Billy's campsite. It's one of our favorite, close to home retreats. We have enjoyed seeing the changes at the creek over the seasons.

Creek Camping
My boyfriend and I came here to get away from the busy city and to also not be in a crowded campsite area... and we had a great time at Billy's place! He was very communicative and helpful on hiking/fossil hunting/viewpoint suggestions, as well has food nearby recommendations! He had a very clean outhouse on the property and the campsite was about 8 feet away from the creek, which was so relaxing to listen to at night. Mt. Rainier is also less than a 30min drive away so it's great that it's so close. We highly enjoyed our stay here! Only thing we would change for next time is if we could've met his dog, Tom! I heard he's a social pup from all the previous reviews haha but he was doing his own thing when we arrived there :)

Thanks, Billy
Two of us stayed two nights at site 1 at Slippery Creek. One was in a travel trailer, and the other in a tent.
It's hard to imagine locations more beautiful than the sites at Slippery Creek. It's SO green, lush green, there. The creek is crystal clear and simply spectacular. The sites allow full immersion in the forest. For being as close to highway 410 as it is, it was surprising how quiet the site was. The loudest thing was the gentle babbling of the creek. (The rain was pretty loud our first night, and drowned out everything else.)
The host dropped by to introduce himself. He was very personable, and his dog, Tom, was lovely and loving. We just saw them the once, which is to say, Tom didn't come visit us on his own.
The travel trailer guy doesn't use the trailer often enough to have gained even the slightest proficiency at backing it up. Backing up was necessary here. After a few tries at putting the trailer in a logical position in the site, he gave up and parked it sort of cattywampus.
The site has very large gravel. The tent guy found it very difficult to drive tent stakes through the gravel. If he hadn't had foam cushions for his tent's floor, the gravel would have made a tent stay pretty uncomfortable.
The trailer guy had two small dogs, and it was clear that it was uncomfortable, and possibly painful, for the dogs to walk on the gravel.

Billy was great and easy to work with. The site was small for our trailer but we knew that going in, Billy and I had talked about it - but that's why we probably wouldn't return. The setting on the creek was perfect - very quiet, serene and lovely. I was bothered by the amount of debris on the property - an old BBQ, gym locker, bags of (trash?), an dilipated horse trailer and much more. For me, this took so much away from the natural beauty of the site.
