Great inexpensive sites on the river. Ours included a fire ring. Nice host, Communal kitchen for anyone to use with oven and refrigerators, flushing toilets, great to bring our small dog with us. Would be a great place to go with a group, too.
I really like this camp site. The community kitchen is a great addition to a camping ground. I noticed that they added a few things to the site like a play ground which I loved for my little one, added numbers to the site spots and put in fire rings with a swiveling grill. I also noticed that the bathrooms were Clean, stocked and kept up. Last year the site was free but I understand why it would cost a low $10 bucks a day. I like that it is close to the river but if you have a little one I would suggest getting a spot further away. This was my second time here and loved the new additions and will definitely be coming back.
Shared fire pits (yes shared fire pits. With ppl. U dont know [the ppl were actually a nice old couple but i was told id have a fire pit to the site) not even close to being a camping spot (my backyard would have been more outdoorsy and foresty) and the site is upkept by a dude with a camper and beer literally all over the place like a trailer park or something. Not to metion the train that runs right next to the area that while at first seemed romantic became annoying when we realized it ran all night every 10 minutes. We didnt even stay one of the two nights i booked. Super lame
This is a secluded little gem. We were pleasantly surprised!! Lots of safe area for kids to play, close enough for a quick drive to explore deception falls. The little town of Skykomish does not have much on the regular, but while we were visiting they were having free train rides for kids, Which was a lot of fun! The camping lots on the grass do not have their own camp fire, but it clearly states that on the reservation.
Had lots of fun, great spot, nice, bathrooms👍 Only thing was our reserved and paid for spot was over booked so we had to camp at different spot we initially wanted but they did resolve the issue quickly. Still was a good trip though.
When we arrived it was a little hard to find our spot #8. But quickly noticed it was paved on the rocks. After setting up an getting ready another large group was just getting back. The only issue we had was that site #9 was right next to our vehicle felt a little cramped and didnt seem like a spot. Oh but let me tell you having a mini beach right below our camp site was PERFECT. Definitely will take #8 again. The playground was a great addition for our little ones along with the big open field.
