This campsite offers a serene and well-maintained environment among beautiful old aspens, making it a favorite spot for many campers. Dale, the host, is frequently praised for his warmth and helpfulness, adding to the friendly atmosphere. Campers appreciate the privacy of the sites and the clean amenities, though some have noted issues with the reliability of the Wi-Fi and the availability of hot water in certain showers. Despite the minor inconveniences, most visitors express a strong desire to return, highlighting the location's convenience to nearby attractions.
Very cute and convenient camp site! There's lots of trees and shrubs that isolate each area and they are all good size. Lots of slugs, frogs, and birds!
Dale service it’s amazing, he welcomed us with a great attitude, a smile and great recommendations of things to do. The campsite is beautiful and the bathrooms are clean 👌🏾😊 we’d definitely stay there again! Thanks Dale!
We had an awesome stay at Shangri-La! It was a super well kept campground very close to everything we wanted to do in Olympic for a weekend. The sites were equipped with a fire pit and picnic table, and overall the property very well maintained. We would absolutely stay here again!
I loved visiting here! It’s was fantastic being so close to the beaches. It was a pleasure meeting Dale, who came to greet me upon check in. The campsite I chose was tucked away in a nice corner, but the bathroom and showers were still close enough to be convenient. A nice hot shower was a huge plus after an evening of playing on the beaches! My only disappointment is that I couldn’t stay longer. Dale, I would have loved to catch up with you. Hope to see you next time!
Great spot for our long weekend with friends! Loved that we could get a spot so close together. Shady spots, very clean facilities, friendly staff. One of the showers had hot water and the other had a note saying the hot water was not working, but I didn’t mind a cold shower because we’re in a heat wave; and that shower ended up having hot water anyway! All around, a great experience!
This was a great camping experience. Located just up the road from the La Push beaches, the camp spots are roomy and ours was very private. The RV spots have water and electric available and Dale is very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. There was private, locking bathroom near our spot and boxes of firewood that included kindling and a firestarter for an easy $10 venmo. Site had a fire ring and picnic table and set in the trees. I'd definitely recommend!
We did Seattle down the coast to California staying at various HipCamps along the way. This was by far the best! Nice facilities. Loved the trees and bushes between each site making it feel like you were camping in the woods by yourself. Walked around all of the sites and they were all really nice! Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Our teenage son loved it and it was nice for our dogs too.
What an awesome spot! The host was really helpful and friendly, the tent sites were spacious and well-separated, and the amenities (cedar shower, filtered water spigots, WiFi) were a huge plus. The site’s proximity to a lot of incredible places on the peninsula made it a nice jumping off point for other activities, too.
Super nice tent camping sites! Very accessible with good separation. Shower and bathrooms are available and clean. Dale, the host was very nice and gave some good tips. We will definitely be coming back!
Number one a greeting at the door by such a wonderful man is a good start! The place is Lush verdant and peaceful. Excellent management and always eager to assist with any particular needs. Decided to stay here a bit longer because it's so pleasant! Highly recommend!
Highly recommend. Easy to find, super quiet with great amenities. Dale provides clear instructions. It was an excellent value for the price. We stayed in a 23 foot camper van with a bike rack and had plenty of space to hang out with our dog.
Wonderful experience! During our 2nd night I witnessed a spectacular, magical abundance of fireflies high in the aspens near the tent area water spigot. Early June, around 1 am. I suspect they thought it was twilight because of the lights around the spigot. Great tent sites, friendly host!
We loved tent camping here! It was very quiet and peaceful, Dale was very friendly and helpful. The camping spaces are very private with the surrounding plants. It was the perfect place to recharge between day trips to Forks, La Push, Second Beach, and Olympic NP!
The campground was incredible. It was clean, private, and everyone was very respectful. Dale was a great host and made us feel very comfortable. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future
We loved our tent site on Dale’s property! Dale was incredibly kind and welcoming. Since we came on a weekday, the site was relatively empty, but there’s plenty of privacy for each spot. Amenities included a bathroom with running water, a porta potty (in the tent site area), potable water, WiFi, firewood, and a hot outdoor shower. The outdoor shower was adorable and well-maintained, but remember to wear shower shoes as slug friends are attracted to the moisture on the ground. We would definitely stay again and regretted that we only booked one night!
Campground tucked in off the road so very quiet. Great base camp for exploring the beaches and Hoh. Facilities were very clean. Dale was a great host. He made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely return.
I loved the location of this camp. So close to Rialto, La Push, Forks, Hoh, and other Olympic National Park sites. The campground itself was CLEAN and had a REAL bathroom! What a perk! We bought loads of firewood from Dale which was very convenient. Lastly the camp was very CUTE! There were pretty lights by the bathroom, but they were unobtrusive elsewhere.
Highway noise a little loud. friendly host, cozy private flat tent sites, hot shower, clean bathrooms, and flowing watering hole make for a lovely campground.
This campground is very clean and spacious. It has a nice outdoor shower house, Porta potty, indoor plumbing bathroom, free wifi, firewood bundles (with fire starter), and the best host! He’s super friendly and helpful. He gave us ideas of fun stuff to do nearby and directions. We will definitely be coming back!
Only con is that you are in a dead zone so make sure the address is in your GPS before you lose service. The WiFi at the campground fixes that but just so you don’t get lost. We have ATT and didn’t have service anywhere in La Push.
The location is great and there’s lots of parking, which is really convenient. Check-in was pretty easy and straightforward. The only downside was that the bathroom and shower could have been cleaner, especially since guests are expected to tidy up after themselves. It would be nice if a bit more cleaning was done, given that it’s a paid stay.
I loved the location. It was close enough to La Push and Forks, but felt a bit more secluded. The campsites were deep, so you could be pretty tucked back and private. The amenities were great and I appreciate close proximity and cleanliness of the porta potties as well.
We stayed 3 nights and hoping to come again!
We loved camping here! Check in was super easy, the host Dale was very kind and available for help whenever we needed, he even gave us a small propane tank because ours wasn’t working. The sites were somewhat close together yet seperated so we rarely heard the other people. There was a regular bathroom and an outdoor heated shower as well as a few porta potties, all were super clean. We will definitely stay here again and can’t recommend enough!
Dale greeted me and made my stay enjoyable and helpful. I only used the basic accommodations and it is a great location to stay if planning to visit surrounding parks. Be advised if staying in the tent area, it is close to road/highway so can be noisy during the day and nighttime.
What a fantastic introduction to the USA. my partner and I were road tripping through the states for 2 1/2 months and had never camped before, however we felt totally at home at Dale‘s campsite. We didn’t meet Wendy however Dale was an incredible host, giving us guidance for the best things to see and do in the area, and also being a kind and helpful hand whenever we needed it. The campsite was beautifully done – secluded sites, with privacy for each one, however the facilities were spotless and very welcomed. We visited many places in Olympic from here, such a second beach where we were lucky enough to see humpback whales breaching from the shore. We would go back again in a heartbeat. Dale, you are always welcome at our place in London.
