Dan and Julie were amazing hosts! We had a great visit! They have 2 hook ups for power and water and the property is very private and quiet. From both spots you can hear the river flowing and it’s so peaceful. There is a great fire pit to enjoy in the evenings. And the river!!! We spent a lot of time in the beautiful river with access right from their property. Rock/agate hunting, floating and exploring. You could put a chair in the shallow parts and relax all day or watch your kids play. For families there is a great play structure/swing set and plenty of room to run around. The road leading up to the property is quiet and perfect for a walk. Our kids didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be back!
River View Retreat is absolutely fabulous! For anyone looking for a family oriented, dog friendly, quiet, prestine location to simply get away from the world, this is the place. The river runs directly along the back of the property where both RV spots are located. Access to the river is just steps away, there is a large play area for kids, and a community fire pit. Simply a small piece of heaven on earth!
A perfect getaway in the country
River View Retreat is amazing! Dan and Julie were great hosts, and made us feel like family. They are truly are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Both sites have 50 amp & standard 20, plus water hookups. River View is family and dog friendly and either site is great. Site 1 is closest to the swing set and fire pit. Site 2 is furthest away from the swing set and their house. Although their house is behind the sites, it is very far and you have your privacy. Both sites are the same size and could accommodate probably a 40' rig. Ours is a 33' trailer. We had choice of either site and chose site 1, so it was easy to see the swing set which the kids absolutely loved. There are 2 access sites to the river. The river is more like a creek, and perfect for kids. The water is crystal clear, warm, fairly shallow, and you can get agates, or just float down the river. Our boys, ages 7 and 4 had a blast and didn't want to leave!! Their neighbor Dan has an amazing collection of rocks to check out as well. We spent Thursday through Sunday here and it was great. I could have stayed a week longer! There are great lakes less than 20 minutes away, and so much to do. You are in the heart of the country here, and the stars and wildlife you see are amazing! We will definitely be back!
Stunningly beautiful and private!
We absolutely loved our stay here. So quiet and truly relaxing. There are two sites that are thoughtfully situated on the bank of the river. We chose site 2, as it is furthest from the play structure and the group fire pit area. As it turns out we mainly had the entire place to ourselves. We played in the river, picked raspberries, watched the stars and enjoyed the local family of deer. The area 2 lane country roads are perfect for a nice long bike ride through farmland dotted with old barns and lots of cows and horses. We also made a trip to hike at Mt St Helens, which was a really rewarding experience. Our hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. They truly love this place and it shows in every little detail. Highly recommend!
Peaceful river camp
This was our maiden voyage with our brand new Scamp trailer and we couldn’t as asked for a better first experience. Dan and his family are warm, helpful, welcoming, and sincerely interested in making their guests have an optimal experience. The grounds are lovely, especially for families with kiddos as there is an onsite playground. Access to the river was easy and the views and sounds of the water made for a peaceful stay. There are just two RV spots so if you have friends reserve the other space, you have the entire space to yourselves. We hope to be back!
We had a great time here. The site is lovely, quiet (except for our stoopid dogs at time), and inviting. The river was perfect. We have only been trailering for a short time, but there might not be reason to go anywhere else.
This place is perfect and Dan and Julie are terrific hosts. If your looking for a relaxing get away this is the place it’s simply a piece of heaven! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river,,agate hunting and beautiful grounds and hospitality these amazing people have to offer.
Peaceful, private, and secluded.
Dan and Julie were great hosts. We got a little lost and Julie even drove out to find us. The property is beautiful and the sounds of the river are so peaceful. Dan even brought us out these delicious pumpkin bars. Would totally stay here again.
