Hello and thank you for choosing My Hidden Gem.

What I have is one area large enough for Tent's or RV's . All sharing the same area with one Honey bucket. I made it with the idea of families camping together. The road is gavel/dirt thats lined with vegetation. Fir trees, ferns, Alders, Cedar, Hemlock. This leads you to a beautiful secluded level 1/2 acre grassy camping area. There is a fire pit with 6 chairs, picnic table, horseshoe pits, hammock, Firewood FOR SALE, and portable toilet. You are all by yourself listening to the forest with a chance of seeing local blacktail deer. This terrain is for ALL wheel drive vehicle's. There are walking trails on site. Nearby is Gateway park and the 360 trails for mountain bikers. There is a boat launch 4 miles in Vaughn bay for Kayaking. Gig Harbor is 12 miles. Absolutely NO GUN's or FIREWORK's! The fewer the vehicles per booking the better thank you.

Please know where are Saint Athoneys Hospital and urgent care are located. Thank you Rick

We really enjoyed coming here, Rick was super nice and replied quickly to questions we had. The site was huge and well maintained. Perfect for our toddler to run around and play. We loved the giant fire pit, Rick had chairs and roasting sticks ready for us. The scenery and trees were beautiful, we woke up the the most beautiful birdsong symphony in the morning. Port-o-let on site was appreciated. We could hear road noise and neighborhood dogs occasionally, but it was far enough away to ignore. We didn't see anyone the whole time we were there, it was very private. We plan to visit again, it was perfect for our family. Would be a great spot for group camping.

View from across the site. Firewood was stacked and ready, so helpful.

This would be great for a private party or a family that wants to camp along with a flat grassy area close to Gig Harbor. We enjoyed it very much!

This camp site was great. I would totally go back with more people for a long weekend. There was lots of room for our tents and kitchen setup along with a nice big grassy area to play lawn games. The fire pit was beautiful and wood was stocked with a donation bucket. We were a short drive from Gig Harbor where you will find a cute little town with amazing breweries and some great restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at a hidden gem. Absolutely beautiful and serene private property! It's literally a gem! As you can see the photo, we have plenty of space to chill. The site has a hammock and fire ring for us to use. The owner also provided firewood (donations accepted).

The owner Rick is friendly and takes great care of the property. The campsite is located off a very quiet road and large enough for family/friends gathering. I'd like to book our next visit back. Definitely recommend!

My family and I just moved here from California and this is the first weekend trip we've taken since we got here. Normally for us to camp at a site like this, we'd have to drive at least 4 hours from home the get there in California. It took us 30 min to get to Hidden Gem and it was worth every minute. The place was huge and beautiful and so wide open and we had it all to ourselves! We can't wait for our California friends and family to come visit so we can take them here and blow them away with it's beauty and accessability. Loved it and can't wait to go back!

Joe, Thank you for such a nice review. I appreciate you taking the time. It is also so rewarding for me personally to have what was sort of a gamble to come true and to be loved by others. Thanks Rick Knapp

We stayed here for one night and it was so private and beautiful - the campsite is very private, large, and surrounded by mature trees and bird calls. We saw an owl at dusk and enjoyed completely unplugging in nature. The site was great - we enjoyed playing horseshoes and were greeted with fresh flowers and a pre-prepared fire on our arrival. Would recommend to anyone and hope to come back soon and bring our friends - Thanks, Rick!

We had a great time at this site with a large group of 9 people. The site is very spacious and private. The large fire pit, picnic table with flowers, and porta potty were a big plus. You can hear some traffic in the distance but otherwise it feels like you are in the middle of the forest. We even had some bat and owl visitors. Overall a great site that I would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Rick’s Hidden Gem Campsite! We went with one other family and the area was large enough for the kids to play soccer and capture the flag. The campsite felt very private and peaceful. We would definitely stay again!
