General description of the overall property.

Bring your gear and hike our 40 acres to escape into nature. Climb the hill for views of the valley and Lake Roosevelt or explore in the trees for a more secluded feel. Plenty of sunshine during the day and an amazing amount of stars at night. At just the right time you might even see the Aurora Borealis. Our property is bordered by vast acres of timberland, beautiful thick underbrush, and an open meadow. Our 40 acres provide plenty of room to roam and we encourage you to do so. Enjoy the wildlife, we have deer, elk, wild turkeys, various bird life including magpies, and eagles that frequent the property.

We are only 5 miles from the Kettle river, and a small grocery store for your use and enjoyment during your stay. A few miles beyond that is Lake Roosevelt/Columbia river for swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing. In the winter bring your 4x4, and cold weather gear and do some snow camping, pack your snowshoes and take in a peaceful hike or go sledding.

We are a primitive site, a composting toilet and water will be provided. We have a strict policy of pack it in, pack it out, as well as leave no trace.

We would also like to offer a work/trade option to those who are looking to stay and help out on the property. Come put in some sweat equity and then sleep under the stars. Send me a message through here and we can discuss the details.  Please come and enjoy our property, we look forward to meeting you.

Note:

We can offer a site set up. We will set up a large family size tent with a queen air mattress, 2 chairs and a bundle of firewood for your first night. Add'l firewood $5.00 a bundle. This option is $50.00 a night with a 2 night minimum. Message me and we can work out the details.

Friendly hosts and beautiful hilltop views. We definitely plan to come camping here again. Kids loved visiting the baby pigs.

This is truly one of the best camp spots I've gotten to stay at. Thank you so much Angie and Ray for the amazing day, we will be back for sure. The property is great to explore, the view is spectacular, and we loved the pigs at Bacon Acres. Also be aware you will be greeted by one of the best dogs ever, we love Leroy.

Thank you again!
