This location affords you maximum tent privacy from other guests or farming activities. (Do not drive on the grass please. Carry or Cart in your items.) Additional tent or car camping at sites #4 and #5 South and North of the red hanger. There is space for multiple tents at each location. Vehicle or RV parking is available on the gravel portions of the property. only. The power hook ups are located near #2 and #6. No 40 Amp service for A/C. Often times I have an extension cord run from the hangar for phone charging at sites 4/5. Guests can also use power at the dock, or along the corral near the restroom. Great views of Mt. Adams from the runway or beach area.
There is plenty of room at the property and I can accommodate large groups. Prices will vary depending on your needs. Estimated at $42 per 8 people. 1100 foot grass runway available depending on grass height for fly in STOL aircraft. 30 x 40 Hangar may be available with prior arrangements for planes or events. Please coordinate ahead of time if you need hangar or vehicle arrangements. Wine tour / Party Bus may be available in the future. Inquire via text. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE on any of the GRASS as your vehicle will leave imprints and potentially destroy sprinklers...
If you wish to specifically reserve the grass runway for Soccer, Volleyball, Football, etc please reserve a site and request the runway for your event. $27 / 5 guests plus $5 per additional guest. Basically $5 per guest total. Stay the night by tenting on the runway or just use it until dusk. At this time bring your own equipment, nets, etc. The runway is 100' wide. I can mow it tight with prior arrangements.

It was a beautiful place and so quiet. The host was great always checking to make sure we had what we needed. It was our first hipcamp experience and it was a great one. We are from here in wapato and it was like being in another world which is the point right lol. I would highly recommend a stay here. There is also now a outside restroom available so it was perfect.
This beautiful working ranch with camp sights is such a lovely stop. The grass is green and soft. The area is open and peaceful. The host is friendly and respond quickly. We had a nice one night stay that I would recommend to anyone just passing through.

This is a lovely setting and very private and safe for this single female traveler. Yes, you will hear animal noises at night, but it is otherwise very quiet and close to town too, if you need to run in and get something.
Location and farm are beautiful, easy to find, near Yakima. Only downside was no toilet or bathroom when we stayed (though host allowed us into main house when asked), the owner says an out house will be added soon.
We have a portable potty now. Still no showers other than bucket baths or a spray with the cold hose. Thanks for visiting! Please come again.

Steven was an incredible host. I’d definitely recommend his place. Especially for veterans as he himself is one. I too am a veteran. I’m in a wheelchair and used a power assist chair to navigate the very thick gravel. If you are mobility impaired be sure to bring your own toilet. Or have help into and out of the porta potty.
My dog was so happy there as well.
Falling asleep to the sound of frogs was a highlight as I have been in the desert of Colorado for 15 years. I miss the sounds I grew up to in the northwest.
It was fun to wake up to the cows mooing as well.
The camp was serene and beautiful. Just be prepared for adapting to the surroundings if you use a wheelchair. There are no paved areas, no accessible toilets.
I used the toilets at the wineries and baby wipes for the important bits.
There is a gas station a half mile away. Get there before 9 pm it closes.
You can bring a portable camp toilet and sun shower as well. If you don’t have an rv set up for you.
I’m definitely going back. I’ll bring my extrem 8 4x4 wheelchair next time. The gravel would be difficult even for a para or amputee in a manual chair.
I wish I could have had more time to actually sit and visit with you and hear your story. I was so busy that week. Please come back and maybe I will reserve a camp spot and invite myself to the group fire pit.
This spot is wonderful and so cute with a very sweet host. We ended up coming in later than expected and he was very accommodating and had even set up wood in a fire pit for us to have an evening bonfire by the pond if we chose. The grass is comfortable and the farm animals friendly. Highly recommend!
