Everybody loves Black Lake and hates it when they have to leave! It's just nature with good fresh smells and views with quiet beauty. It has always been a safe place, up and away from the road and not heavily used. BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC ONLY ONE FAMILY MAY COME CAMP AT ONE TIME. This is because the Shower House and Bathrooms would otherwise be shared. The campers and other visitors must maintain their physical space on the beach and any of the resort boats, paddles and life vests must be sanitized between guests of different families (ie folks at the Lodge). Campers are therefore welcome to use any site they wish along the lake and wetlands.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Old Black Lake Resort is a hidden gem. I was able to park my 24 ft travel trailer within a stones throw of the lake. Water and electrical was provided. There is a sewer dump site in the town of Colville. Kayak to use, a dock to sunbathe, and peacefulness all around. Very dog friendly! Pricilla is an amazing host and a wonderful person to chat with. Note there is no cell service and very limited to no wifi... which was wonderful to be off the grid and check out.
Peaceful, nature getaway
Black lake is a fantastic, peaceful getaway. The non motorized lake is perfect for paddleboarding and kayaking. The campground is set up for privacy with tree covered sites and a swimming beach and dock to hang out and enjoy the amazing alpine surrounded water. Priscilla is the perfect host, you will feel very wecomed. I have camped here several times and leave planning my next visit.
Black Lake is absolutely stunning! Beautiful and peaceful. We had site #2 which is a trailer site with electricity and water. We didn't use the water as we filled up prior to arriving. There is not a dump station on site so we used the RV dump at the fairgrounds in Colville on the way home. The bathrooms and showers are spotless and comfortable to use if need be. You pack out your own garbage so come prepared. We disposed of ours on the way home at the refuse site down the road for $10. We stayed three nights and enjoyed kayaking (you can bring your own or there are kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat provided for free), soaking up the sun, walking, and exploring the nearby sites (Radar Dome, numerous lakes, Ione, and Metaline.)There's a lot of bird life to view (Loons, eagles, osprey, misc small birds). Everyone we encountered from the property owner to other guests to the other residents on the lake and surrounding areas were very friendly. The lake and the Old Black Lake Resort is off of the main highway in the deep woods so you can also look forward to peace and quiet and lovely nature sounds. We will definitely return for a couple more visits before fall!
Mini vacstion for 5
Staying at old black lake was fantastic. As a kewly blended family of 5, we had plenty to do and the kids felt ssfe enough to explore the property together. The kayaks were pefect and easy to use. The shwoer house was spotless.
Priscilla was amazingly helpful and gave us plenty of space. She even let do a load of laundry last minute for the kids.
I would stay there again. We are looking into renting her stunning log cabin as well.
I'd say all in all we had the best time.
What an amazing experience both with Black Lake and Priscilla. Amazing, private lake in an incredible area. Priscilla was so easy to work with, great with communication and so flexible. Our family camped in our RV- had fires, listened to the call of the loons, counted frogs and paddled around in the paddle boat. Just perfect. We could not have asked for anything better. Thank you for sharing your beautiful area.
The Press Family
Peaceful campsite by the lake
This rustic property, hidden away on peaceful Black Lake, makes an excellent family camp site and get away. The facilities were exceptionally clean and the host was very hospitable. The local nesting loons and sapsuckers made it even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
