Come and experience a nature safari on the Lewis River! Depending on what time of year you visit us, you are sure to see the pair of resident bald eagles soaring above their nest, sea lions diving for salmon or smelt, flocks of sandhill cranes and migrating geese - even the occasional squadron of pelicans! Take the kayaks up the river to scout for beaver dens and otters, or paddle down to the sandy beaches at the confluence with the Columbia River for a picnic or sundowners. Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, or stargaze on clear nights. If you enjoy wildlife and rivers, you are certain to have an adventure with us on the Lewis. There is space for up to a 45 foot Class A motorhome or trailer/truck combo of similar size on the graveled parking area. Newly installed drive-thru site parking. Depending on your RV main door configuration and preferences…the option to enter the site either from the East or from the West is available. Please note that the property is a work in progress and is in the process of being lovingly restored! Watch your step on the planks - some are uneven and can be slippery in wet weather. There are numerous kayaks, which are free to use. There is also a porta-loo for the public on site. Have a wonderful stay!

If you love fun adventures, Everett’s place is for you! We have seen eagles, otters, cranes, and hawks galore. You can kayak the peaceful Lewis river or hang on the docks and watch for animals. I was never bored and Everett is a welcoming and helpful person.

My favorite HipCamp spot so far, by far! A spot secluded right on the lake, there’s a road up the bank but still felt pretty private. We saw otters, eagles, fish, cows, geese; it was awesome. There is a dock, and like others have said is under remodel, but in the day time would feel plenty confident walking out on to it. Still a short ride into the small town nearby which had a great breakfast/dinner spot, and not too far from Portland for weekend activities. Made for a great weekend and honestly can’t wait to find an excuse to stay in the area again!

I just stayed for one night and didn't use the amenities, but it was beautiful there and Everett was very helpful and available to communicate.

Not worth the $
It is an okay spot for RVs but not for tent camping. The "sites" are gravel parking spots along the ditch on a very active main road and the embankment down to the water. The pictures are not evasive but they do not really show what anything actually looks like. The dock is hazardous and in horrible disrepair, being mostly a patchwork of wood and metal. There was a hornets nest above the seating area with a can of raid left under it for us to deal with. The river is amazing and if this place is cleaned up it will be wonderful, but it is not worth the over $100 per night charge we paid to stay there at all. I think the owner is trying to fix it up and once that is done I am sure it will be wonderful, until then it is hazardous and not worth the money.

We had a wonderful time at Everett's place on the Lewis River! There was plenty of room for our pop -up camper and our friend's trailer. We put up a tent on the tent pad and used the dock for fishing and cooking and swimming. The port-a-potty was clean and the trash bins were a plus. The kayaks were an added bonus? We and our dogs had a blast

River view spot
We had a great time camping on the banks of the Lewis River. The view was great and the Bald Eagles were beautiful! It was a bit windy, but it hot, so it was fun kayaking and floating on the river with the kayak provided by our host, Everett. He was a friendly and gracious host and we really enjoyed staying on his property for the night. The only downside was that the road was about 20 feet from the spot. However, traffic was very light, so it was no big deal.
