About Naked Falls
This is easy car access to a raw outdoor camping experience. You will have access to nearly 1 mile of Washougal River frontage. This includes access to Naked Falls and Reeder Falls. The camping area is on the East side of the river. There are at least a dozen excellent camping sites. Come prepared as the nearest potable water source is at least a mile away and you won't see any lights or electrical outlets on the property. Also, please remember that I don't live there and there is limited service on the property. If you have questions, please contact me in advance as I may be unreachable when you arrive at the property. If you need me to meet you, please message me to make arrangements at least 12 hours in advance. I may be able to meet you on shorter notice but I can't promise that if you message me as you are heading up to the property that I can be available to accommodate your request.

The vibe at Naked Falls
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We really liked the campsite. It was nice and secluded. Pretty dusty, no bathroom, and no campfires which was a bummer but other than that, it was great.
We made our reservation the day before our check in date. We tried calling Stephen (the owner) several times the morning of and again about 10 times upon arrival as we were unsure where the site was (the roads were a little confusing) but we couldn't reach him and his voicemail was full. It was a little frustrating after driving 3+ hours.
We eventually found it and were lucky to find one other group staying there who confirmed we were in the right location. We set up camp and had a great first night's stay. It wasn't until the next afternoon that we eventually saw Stephen when we were swimming in the river as he was collecting parking money from other river visitors. He didn't have any idea we were staying at the site, but we explained that we made a reservation on Hipcamp and had tried calling many times. All was well and the rest of the stay was fantastic.
All in all the location was great and we really enjoyed having easy access to the river for swimming. I think once the kinks are worked out with the check in logistics and bathroom, it will make a really great camping location. I will say that the "exclusive access" is a little misleading as there were about 100 other people at the swimming hole throughout the day we were there swimming.
Naked Falls is a swimming and hiking dream! The property has tons of dispersed camping sites along the Washougal River and gorgeous hiking along old lumber roads from the previous owners. River access includes everything from picnic friendly beaches on swimming holes to cliff jumping into the deep end of the waterfall for the adventurers in your crew. Steve (the host) grew up swimming here and is an amazing resource for all of the ins and outs and history of the property, not to mention a super nice guy. Bring your pooch and your swimsuit and get ready for a lovely stay!
Pros: The host Steve was very nice and showed us fun paths and the area. The river is great. It's a fun spot close to Portland for a last minute camp getaway.
Cons: There are a lot of people who figured out river access is easiest from the camp side of the river and walked through our campsite- exclusive access it is not. Also, lots of motocross noise at night.
Naked Falls is amazing! My wife and I camped for one night and enjoyed the incredible beauty and tranquility. Stephen helped us pick a nice spot just above the river to camp. He is really nice and has a great vision for the place. Thank you, Stephen! What a gift you are creating for people who love a real camping experience. We will definitely be back.
This place is amazing. Steven the host is great. The swimming hole is my favorite place to take my family to which includes my dog Charlie. The camp sites are are nice and isolated. Love how it's peaceful where you set your tents up but lots of fun action at the Falls.
This campsite was exactly what we were looking for!! Steppen was extremely accommodating - met us as we got to naked falls - showed us where to camp, recommended good hiking spots, and asked if there was anything that we needed. We saw him the next morning and he asked us how our stay was. He was extremely responsive to text messages leading up to our stay. I was a little hesitant booking this because I had never been to the campsite before, but I will be back. Highly, highly, highly recommend. If you're even thinking about staying here, go ahead and book it now! You won't regret it!
Extra bonus - Steppen really cares about the land. It is obvious from just chatting with him for a few minutes that he wants to preserve the beauty at naked falls, and ensure that all who are there enjoy it!
This is a beautiful spot, but it's super rustic. I look forward to when there's a bathroom and fire pits. Steven was very available and helpful, letting us know about the different camping spots. It's awesome to hang out at the river all day and not have to rush driving home afterwards.
