Mount Baker Farm is really special. Cheryl and Barb could not have been nicer. They were wonderful about sharing their lovely farm with us. We loved meeting all their animals, especially their goats. They went out of their way to teach our daughter about the animals and even let her help, which we appreciated so much. The site was very nice and much quieter than the nearby state park sites. We will definitely return!
Crushing campsite competition
We had such a great time camping in Orcas Island at the Mount Baker Farm and Campground. Our vehicle site was private and had all the necessities. The camp hosts were incredibly accommodating and attended to anything we needed.
Discs for the disc golf course on the grounds? Got them.
Ice? Yep, right there.
Firewood? Of course!
It was really helpful to have so many things on site. I don't know if we've been to a campsite as well organized and thoughtful as this one. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!
The ladies at Mt. Baker Farm shared a very special experience with us this weekend. The camping was excellent, but the property is a dream. We took a ride on their 2 mile private, full gauge railroad, complete with 2 depots that are essentially railroad museums harkening back to the early 1900s. We met Chips and Salsa, their two donkeys and loads of goats, chickens and pigs. And they brought in an interactive reptile experience! If you're a railroad enthusiast, if you have kids, if you like camping, if you like supporting hard working wonderful people living their dream, you must come to Orcas and you must stay with them! We met the owners and couldn't have been more impressed with their genuineness and their desire to share this magical place! We hope they are around for years to come and we will definitely be back!!
My family and I had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to return. So many things for kids to do: farm tour, train ride, petting zoo, frisbee golf, trails, and my girls loved playing “spill the milk”. Thank you for the memories Cheryl!
My kids 5 and 8yrs old had a blast! So many things for kids to see and do. The camp grounds were amazing! Had several other attractions to see on Orcas Island but ended up spending most of are time at Baker Farms.
Everything is perfect except...
Cheryl is awesome person and loves her hospitality and talks about history of the farm and their rail roads.
Evening session where we could touch and feel let reptiles and a lizard was a unique experience.
Our campsite #4 was as quite and private as we would have hoped for.
Everything was perfect for our two nights camping except a big oh :( about bath and restroom facility. A honey bucket kinda setup for restroom and far away placed plastic boxes as bathrooms were never ever liked by anyone.
This would be best if they had a properly cleaned and setup washroom/restroom facility.
We did spoke to Cheryl and spoke about our disappointment and hoping they would upgrade it to make this place better.
Staying here was so great. My family had a wonderful time and we would definitely come again. The petting farm, reptiles, train were so fun and our camp site was beautiful!
The other reviews were accurate. Cheryl and her team were genuine, gracious and kind. The train ride and little farm were perfect for our little kids and the campsite was well kept. Such a magical little wonderland on Orcas island.
