We had a wonderful weekend thanks to this private campsite near Salt Creek Recreation Area! In a great location. We were able to go hiking and tide pooling and return quickly for meals in a beautiful setting.

We enjoyed our night at Peaks edge campsite. It was private, quiet and there was a clean porta potty on site. We drove a couple miles down the road
to Salt Creek Recreation area and watched the sunset- highly recommend! Not far from Port Angeles, and only took us about an hour to get to Hurricane Ridge the next morning.

The site was large and well kept. Great location near Salt Creek recreation area. Really appreciated the clean bathroom and provided firewood/fire starter! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

The toilet was pristine. According to the log, it looks like they get it serviced about once a week. The fire pit was safe (gravel perimeter and sturdy metal components). They provided non-potable water, firewood, hand soap, and extra tent stakes. There are three tent sites, one connected to the parking circle. The parking area looks big enough for a large truck at least, and our SUV had no problems. The dirt road leading to the sites was easy to get up, but not super wide. I don’t know the host’s RV preferences, but I would check the measurements and get permission before I brought anything bigger than a truck up that road.
We never saw our host, and had the site to ourselves on a Thursday night. It’s about a ten min drive up to Salt Creek Rec area and about a 5-10 min drive to Fresh Water Bay. 20-30 into Port Angelas.
Warning: Google Maps will try and have you turn on to Raleigh Road, follow the directions and turn on the NEXT road on the right.

Sorry to hear you had "mixed feelings" about your stay. I am curious though why you felt this way. Overall from your review, it seems as though you were very positive about the campsite and your stay. The driveway is narrow and for that reason RVs and Pickup campers, etc. are not allowed. But the driveway is easy enough to navigate even in a big pickup truck. Then there's Google Maps, we all know the app isn't 100% reliable but I will add this little bit of knowledge in the directions on how to get to the campsite. However, thank you for choosing Peak's Edge, we will use your feedback to make improvements.

I want to preface this by saying everything within the owner's control was absolutely fantastic. Site was well kept, we were given firewood and other supplies, and that porta potty was cleaner than most regular bathrooms. The main negative to this site is that it's very close to another property with many animals who, as barn animals do, tend to make a lot of noise in the morning and the dog likes to bark at night. We were kept up very late by the dog and woken up early by the animals. Like I said, nothing that the owner can control but I still thought I'd be helpful for other people to know ahead of time.

Wonderful hosts who provided a cooler of non-potable water that came in handy, as well as fire starter, cut wood, lawn games, hand soap and sanitizer, and a very clean port-a-potty! The site IS near another farm, so there are a good share of animal sounds through the evening, but otherwise, well kept and a great location!!
