5-star outdoor hospitality
All expectations were beyond exceeded. This was our first Hipcamp booking and will be a memorable one. We LOVED our stay at Lost Valley Farm Camp. Galilee and Brett were some of the most hospitable and warm hosts that we’ve ever encountered. The driving directions were spot on, easy 1.45 hours from Portland. We were greeted on arrival with a basket of strawberries and the most delicious arugula I’ve ever had. This is not your typical “numbered campsite”, it’s an amenity-filled experience with gorgeous views of hilly timbers, an open prairie, and farmland. You can witness firsthand all the love and labor that is created on this large acreage. Galilee and Brett have thought of everything to make your trip worthwhile, she even lended us some tall rain boots to wear to keep our toes dry.
There’s a dry sauna that Galilee built herself and cold plunge which was worth the usage fee. The outhouse was the best I’ve ever used, and a hand washing sink is right outside. The communal kitchen area was very well set up and came in handy for dinner time. We bought some of their farm produce and made a big beautiful dinner outside and used their propane grill. The picnic tables, chairs, and on-site compost are so appreciated! The farm was clean, tidy, extremely well maintained. Galilee even provided a fire for us, it truly felt like we were VIPs staying at an eco-resort. A bonus, there’s a mowed path around their land, it’s a must do!
Do not hesitate to book this beautifully tranquil farm. Great for couples, or a few groups of respectful friends.
A total experience! Camping on the edge of a meadow filled with flowers ringed by mountains and this lovely farm. Strawberry grazing, baby duck petting, and the communal campfire were our favorite parts of our stay. With a kitchen and pirate ship... you can’t ask for much more! Definitely add Lost Valley Farm to your wishlist.
This place is beyond magical and perfectly suited for anyone looking to reconnect to nature and experience farm life. The hosts were just as delightful as the property was. Galilee and Brett have set up everything you’d want, including clean outhouses, multiple hand washing stations, kitchen prep and clean up space, fire pit with seating and wood, picnic tables at the campsite and fresh produce for purchase. They were available when needed and very courteous of our space throughout out the visit. This set up worked great for 3 families with young kids. There was so much for them and us adults to explore, from animal encounters with ducks, chickens, a turkey, and pig to berry picking and hiking. We are already planning our next visit!
Charming camp experience
The hosts couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly. We were so pleased with our experience- the sauna, the campfire, the fruit and veggies, the baby duck petting, it was all a delight.
Galilee and Brett were wonderful hosts and paid so much attention to details. Their patience to answer our kids' questions was everlasting and they shared their love for their farm and its surrounding nature.
This was one of our best weekends in a long time! Me and my wife had a great time staying at Lost Valley Farm with our dog. The property was amazing and peaceful. The hosts Galilee and Brett were awesome - they genuinely cared about the campers and wanted everyone to have a great experience. It was also a good home base to get out to Mt St Helens. Definitely recommended for couples or families!
Incredible for young families!
This far exceeded our expectations, even though they were high because the site came recommended by a colleague. There are so many things to do on this beautiful property! I felt like we finally had a chance to exhale and spend time with our small kids (2 and 4 years old) after weeks on end of stress and quarantine. We enjoyed being together as a family! We held baby ducks, swung on countless swings, walked through meadows, swam (and threw rocks) in the swimming hole, tasted the most delicious zipper peas that exist, and so much more! Galilee and Brett are incredible. These guys really HOSTED us! They were always nearby and helped with everything we could have hoped for. They even went above and beyond on multiple occasions in our short 3 day/2night stay!! I cannot recommend this campsite higher, especially for families with young kiddos who need space to play.
What a steal the price is, too. This was as enjoyable a trip as many I’ve taken when I stayed in a three-figure hotel. Yes, I brought my tent and made my own bed. But giggling over s’mores cooked in a fire pit laid out ready for us to light and feed while sitting on handmade Adirondack chairs and taking turns pushing each other on the rope swing and seeing real, live farm animals is far better.
There are two composting toilets (read: toilets that actually are pleasant to use), several sinks and faucets for hand/face washing, a “pirate ship”, the numerous aforementioned swings and animals, trees to climb, a serene walking path and plenty of meadows, delicious and cold drinking water sustainably offered in reusable glass jugs, a shared electric/gas kitchen space with a BBQ, and two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet to host you.
I can not recommend this higher. This was our first experience “glamping” as we’re normally packing in water somewhere in a remote National Forest. Galilee and Brett have really spoiled us for every other glamping adventure in our future.
